This I'm interested in.Was there really a fresh patch of grass?I really hope LE put a cadaver dog on that. That would just be stupid is as stupid does to bury someone on your own property.

I'm not sure if this has been talked about as I don't have time to read through all the posts, but this stems from the fact that a reporter from WW stopped by the Horman residence a couple weeks ago. Terri came out to talk to him, wasn't able to talk about the specifics of the case so they made small talk.

Remeber that WW was one of the media that KH said was no longer allowed at the press conferences. It's been speculated that this reporter has been dropping hints in his stories related to the case. Most times the media knows a lot more than we do, but are asked to sit on that information. My guess is that KH picked up on that and that is why he said WW was no longer allowed there.

This article was posted before the news of the landscaper came out, but perhaps he's dropping a clue that they (the media) knew something about the landscaper theory with his questions to TH and the way the article is written.

snip from the article:

Horman seemed neither surprised nor dismayed when I introduced myself as a reporter. She walked outside to join me on the front steps. Her baby girl and a cat emerged from the house with her.

Law-enforcement sources have told WW the investigation into Kyron’s disappearance has increasingly focused on Horman. When I visited, she told us investigators have asked her not to discuss the case with the media. She also declined to talk about her reaction to Kyron’s disappearance or details about her family.

That left us with small talk. I complimented her on the family’s hilly one-acre yard, asking whether the family might be planning to make a large unmowed patch at the center into a garden. She said no, and commented on the difficulties of keeping up the property.

While we were talking, K*** was following the cat toward a shed at the edge of the woods. Horman looked up, saw that K**** had wandered about 30 feet away from her, and ran to pick the girl up.

Horman declined once again to answer questions about her family. With nothing much left to say, I gave her my card, wished her a good day and walked back down the driveway.

One attempted hiring appears to have happened in May 2009 and another in November 2009. So there were at least two incidents and maybe two different landscapers.

And the landscaper that responded to the 'ad'....says it was April 2010.

Are we sure it's May 2009 and not May 2010??

Hi mrsu... please remove the baby's name from the quoted article in your post....I'm far from a mod of any kind, but I just don't want the thread shut down....thanks :-)

BBM, so it was reportedly an unmowed patch, not a fresh patch of grass. I think they were hinting at the general upkeep and probably knew about the landscaper before we did... what a cluster! ;)

Can you edit out Baby K's name. Sorry! Missed that in my post. Thanks.

ETA: I see that you did already. :)

You might be right. Now I can't locate where I got May 2009 from.

I am relatively new to Websleuths and I don't post very often. But, I have to say, this case gets stranger by the day. I work a full time job and don't have as much time to stay up to date, as I would like. I have gotten my whole unit enthralled with this case. They ask for updates daily. I hope Kyron is brought home; he looks like such a sweet soul. The landscaper detail just puts the icing on the cake for me. And to think, I was trying to not jump to conclusions about the SM. Thank you all for your wealth of information and facts, and interesting opinions too!

Chasing halos-not saying you are wrong but the word "another" really leads me to believe there is more than one landscaper.

If there isn't a second, then that's one of the most poorly worded articles I've ever read. Incredibly misleading if there is only ONE landscaper.

But, remember back when the murder for hire story broke, wasn't there a comment made by LE (I thought) that indicated some belief that Terri may "have tried to do this previously." So perhaps that is related to a second landscaper coming forward?

I may be late to the game (as in someone may have already cleared this up, but didnt have time to thoroughly read thru entire thread)... What I am understanding is that yes, there are 2 landscapers, and yes there are 2 landscapers that LE have spoken with. This occurred when Major Crimes were doing their investigating into ANY AND ALL PPL THAT HAD ANY ACCESS WHATSOEVER TO KYRON IN THE RECENT PAST. This led them to landscapers. One of the 2 landscapers spoken about is the one that gave LE the info about TMH and the "murder for hire" scheme. The 2nd landscaper that is referred to as "yet another unnamed landscaper" is the one who called into the Lars Larson radio show(chasing.halos posted link to audio) and told of LE finding him and speaking to him, questioning him after "murder for hire" scheme broke to see if possibly she had indeed asked another landscaper to kill her husaband. This 2nd landscaper does NOT claim that TMH approached him with any plot to kill husband and says he thinks he just didn't have what she[TMH]was looking for[whatever that means:waitasec:]... So yes, indeed there are infact 2 landscapers tho only 1 landscaper(thus far) that says TMH was plotting to kill hubby... I'm hoping I wrote this clearly enough to understand(as sometimes my words get all jumbled, therefore not helping to clear anything up...LOL)

When quoting articles that include K's name, it is not something that will get you in trouble if you forget to edit. We are doing this for K's future. Just send an alert to we can fix them when they are missed.

If someone starts inserting K into the case or sleuths minors at all, then we have a problem.

I merged the two threads. Having multiple landscaper threads was making my head spin more than it already is! LOL! The thread title changed too.

This is unreal, IMO.

Kimster, I'm trying to catch up since I have been gone most of the morning and afternoon.. Is there more than one landscaper involved in this mess and If so, how many? I'm really confused..

It seems to me that if the landscaper who was allegedly asked to kill Kaine were making up this story for revenge, wouldn't he say she tried to hire him to kill Kyron? Wouldn't it make more sense to spin the story that way? If he were making it up to get back at Terri?

I believe him.

What is with TH thinking landscapers have dual roles as hitmen? I'm so confused, this is straight up BIZZARO!

  • #1,714
she was looking for "yard clean-up on a medium-sized yard". He feels that he just didn't fit what she was looking for. Zach called into the Lars Larson show.[/I]

WHAT A MESS!!!

This is so bizarre. I never thought I would say this but this is stranger than KC's case. I mean if I didn't know any better they are making it sound like she was using hitman lingo to recruit a landscaper to do a hitman's job.

Is this two landscaapers she tried to hire to kill her husband besides the one who said he only did landscaping at her house? I'm getting confused. Was it the first (of 3?) that wore the wire and talked to Terri with the undercover cop?

What if LE just wants the public to think that? I mean I refuse to believe that anyone is that stupid. It's like me hiring a poolman to kill my husband. That makes no sense. I'd rather kill him myself (lol). I don't see anything wrong with saying "need clean up on a medium sized yard". Then this guy goes on the radio this morning to say that he didn't fit her needs? What the hell does that mean? I mean you only need one landscaper to do your lawn. Once you find it, why call back the others?

Yes, it was from one of the WW articles.

It is? The article I read says this:

complimented her on the family’s hilly one-acre yard, asking whether the family might be planning to make a large unmowed patch at the center into a garden. She said no, and commented on the difficulties of keeping up the property.

Is there another one that talks about a fresh patch?

eta: nevah mind. I see it's already noted. I can't keep up with y'all :)

Welcome dear newbie! Don't be afraid to post -- swats from our moderators are very considerate (IF they swat, and they don't do so without reason BUT with respect). You'll get the hang of things around here. Good to have you join us.

You can say that again!!!! WOW!

(That is if all of that is true)

This person sounds sincere (and older). I don't know what to make of it. Now the 64 million dollar question is: Did TH have her infant daughter with her? If what this person is saying is true, why has LE neglected to report this? Would it make sense to off or sell your stepchild with a toddler in tow?
