What bothers me most about this MFH plot is that it's THE defining factor as to when everything changed IMO. No more four family member cooperation, Kaine moves out, Terri hires a lawyer, and becomes much more suspect. Rightfully so. If a person is willing to hire someone to kill their spouse, they could do anything.
But what if it's a mistake/misunderstanding/revenge thing? The police did say that some kind of sexual content was involved between the two, comparing Mr.Cook's sexting with what the landscaper said.

We don't know anything about what kind of sexual overtures there were. But there apparently were sexual overtures of some sort between the two. Two people having something sexual going on, with one married, certainly can lead to talk about the spouse. How awful they were, how bad they were, and maybe in the heat of the moment something was said but Terri never meant it to be taken seriously. I do think Terri, for whatever reason, felt like Kaine wasn't giving her any attention.
If there was any hard evidence she would be in jail. She called 911 when he showed up too.
What if it's all much ado about nothing?
I will say this, though. Tony is a detective and if he thought something was off, it darned well was. But what if Terri just didn't want Kaine to find out she was cheating on him?
Eh, all just speculation on my part. Still, I hate to think that all this focus on her as a suspect and losing everything important in her life was based on something that was no more than an affair blown up into a MFH plot.
