Most folks using an alias are involved in criminal behavior and I think that is the point Houze is trying to make. He's probably thoroughly investigated LS.
I'm not so sure I would agree with such a sweeping generalization. Should we be investigating "Slim" Whitman for criminal activity? How about every Lefty, Red, Butch, Bud, Buck, and all the other nicknames people sometimes use?

Those usually aren't AKAs, not in LE terms. At best, they'd be "Jonathan 'Batboy' Carpenter" or something.
There's a difference between a LE type of AKA, IMO, and normal nicknames. Otherwise, all of us would have AKAs, unless you use your full official name all the time in every setting. Very few of us do.
I believe Houze was referring to a potential LE-related type of AKA. MOO
I'm not so sure. We have no idea what the December 911 call was about. It could have been a domestic disturbance call.
Or Mr Bunch could have misspoken (as one news story suggested). He may have meant to say "June" but got a wire crossed and "December" came out.
Happens to me all the time. I wonder if he's older than 36 (that's when I noticed it really start happening to me and when it started with several friends when I asked them)?
I respect your opinion, but this entire case is pure speculation. I am entitled to speculate as to what I want based on the little info that we have. And I think she grabbed that phone awfully fast to call 911 several times the night the MFH sting went down and baby K and Kaine left. She seems to use it to cover herself, not actually because there's an emergency. A man with no weapons who just wants to talk does not constitute an emergency. Don't open the door or talk to him. Tell him to go away. There's no indication that he was at all physically threatening or aggressive towards her. He didn't try to beat her door down or anything, yet she called 911. That seems excessive to me.
Wait--he's a landscaper and he either did work for TH (according to prior reports) at the Horman home, or wanted to.
And so, to be employed and paid, he gave his employer a fake name? I recently wrote out a large check to one of my landscapers. So, if TH paid the LS with a check for his LS work, what good would it do him to be paid via a false name?
And how can you have insurance coverage for your work, as a small business owner, self-employed, if you seek out jobs under a false name?
This tidbit about RS being an alias was a bombshell. I'm assuming that the alias was provided by LE after they set up the failed sting operation.
But I may be wrong in that. There's so many untruths, half truths, and "what in the heck is that about?" flying around in this case.
alias n. 1) a name used other the given name of a person or reference to that other name, which may not be an attempt to hide his/her identity (such as Harry for Harold, initials or a maiden name). (See: a.k.a.)
a.k.a. prep. abbreviation for "also known as" when someone uses different initials, a nickname, a maiden or married name. Example: Harold G. Snodgrass, a.k.a. Harry Snodgrass, a.k.a. H. G. Snodgrass, a.k.a. "Snuffy the Snod."
If you follow the actual definition of the terms alias and a.k.a. you will find that almost all of us has at least one alias or a.k.a.
when I was born I had a name. When I was adopted by my stepfather, I had a new or altered name. When I married I received a third alias or aka. When I remarried I got yet another name or aka.
When I call my daughter by her nickname it is an alias.
Just to keep the whole a/k/a alias thing in perspective. People think alias and make the connection to criminal but it just ain't so in the realest sense of what those words mean in the legal community.
IMO .From the article:
Peter Bunch: says Kaines lawyer has mounds of information from the investigation:
Why would LE assist Kaine in his civil divorce case? This really irritates me.
...I use my alias BeanE because... well I just do. I was not assigned my BeanE alias by LE. But if I was, I couldn't tell you all.
I have a friend who's a model and she uses an alias because she thinks it sounds... all modelly or something.
Same for a friend who's an actress. She thinks her alias sounds... all actressy.
I use my alias BeanE because... well I just do.
ETA: I was not assigned my BeanE alias by LE. But if I was, I couldn't tell you all.
