But what might be left is a report from the etymologist, the bug expert.

“The entomologist is good for the prosecution because it can prove how long the body was there. There are still bugs in the bag probably,” Shaffer said. “Maggots. We can tell by collecting the maggots how old they are. A day old. Weeks or months, that can tell us how long the bag was there.”

Don't maggots turn into flies eventually?

The Judge and a panel of lawyers on Fox News just talked about the news out of Orlando. Caylee's body to decomposed to yeild time of death, method of death, place of death.

Can this be true!

Are you saying that they said all of that can be determined from the skeletal remains?

The ME and the prosecution will have to use other evidence and witness testimony to establish an actual TOD. Such as the last verifiable sighting is June 15th. They can most likely narrow it down to a month based on how long it takes for a body to get into the condition Caylee's was found in.

Thanks.

They were saying something about this would change the charges against her as she was overcharged.... I am clueless as to what is required for Murder 1 or DP etc..

They were talking about the Meter Man, but I didn't catch that.

I found a craig's list link that shows Caylee's bedding. It's part of the "Best Friends Collection". No longer sold in stores, I found only a few pages that show the collection. This link states that the bedding set includes a "birth pillow". I haven't seen this pillow in the pictures of Caylee's room or bed. Has anyone else seen a pic with this "birth pillow" in it? These are very small pillows with the name, date of birth, weight, etc written on the pillow. I wonder if this is what they found in the bag and linked to Anthony home.

My son had that set, there was no birth pillow. The items can be purchased in sets or seperately so she didn't necessarily have the birth pillow, FWIW.

Also some sets may have a comforter & bumper another set may have bumper, comforter, pillows etc etc. so even the items in the Bed in A Bag aren't always the same.

We use it all the time in the NW, something to do with the moss that wants to take over the lawn. Hubby would know why we use it, I figure the moss is green, the grass is green, and the moss wants to grow on its own while the grass needs help, why are we fighting nature?

Lime isn't really a fertilizer. You use it if your soil is acid to help temporarily raise the ph and make it a bit more alkaline.

I don't think garden lime is used for things like dead animals. That would be quicklime.

FWI...one of the crime scene photo threads, I THINK it's 2, has a post of something that looks alot like your tiger. The poster, can't recall who, had outlined on a photo, something in pic from the crime scene. I suggest you check it out. From memory, looks the same to me.

We use lime in our yard for various reasons. The only think different between the 2 limes available that I think of is that normal garden lime is mixed with sand allows you to put it down with a spreader whereas the other is powder form that we get from the feed store and has to be spread by hand and is messy (but also much cheaper).

One we have St Augustine grass which prefers alkaline soil but we have oak leaves which make the soil acid. The corrects this.

Second we use in the back yard because we have dogs and the vet suggested it to kill any parasites(worms) eggs that could infect the dogs.

Third we were advised to use once when we had septic tank problems and had some spillage in the yard. Not sure if it was to disinfect the soil and/or destroy odor. ???

Dont know if this has been posted in this thread already and I apologize if it was, I havent been able to read it all yet but I just heard on CNN HL news that they took sunglasses of Caseys from the home this last time they went there and soil samples and several shoes of Caseys

why does everyone think they took Caseys sunglasses? If they found a pair at the crime scene, what would be the purpose of taking the res of them from the house and not just looking for prints on the ones they found?

I posted about Caylee's bedding yesterday (see below). I found many many sets just like Caylee's on eBay, if you'd like to do more searching, I had provided links.

Not sure if this helps, and perhaps someone else already offered some examples, but here are some links to completed/present auctions that show crib bedding like Caylee's. I was wondering how many, if any, components of Caylee's bedding were missing from the original set, so I went looking for other sets like hers. I think there was a rug that went to the set. It got to be too confusing with so many Pooh pieces.

You might need to be signed into ebay to see some of the links to completed auctions.

sorry, if this post is in the wrong spot, we saw LE remove what looked like Caylee's bedding, so thought it was ok.

Hahaha. I know moo (my opinion only) but I still saw that as moo. As in cow. Hahaha.

Somehow I didn't see KC as someone who would feel enough regret that she would place mementos. Or return to the scene with Caylee's book and place it there. Maybe KC isn't sentimental and the items were somehow related to what happened. As another poster said, some items dumped by KC might have been contaminated with body fluids or some kind of evidence. In the thread on crime scene photos there are folks who are blowing up the photos and what appears to be old photos are also on the scene. What role family photos would play puzzles me unless KC was trying to set up some kind of robbery scenario.

Mabe the things found were not put there as favorites of caylee's but because they were in the trunk when her body was and had fluids etc on them.. so KC just dumped them all.
donno.. but perhaps

Ok, this makes sense. This means she securely wrapped the tape so that no noise would be heard which would mean that Caylee was alive whe she duct taped her. I just keep thinking that she wrapped her after she died to make it look like a real staging. But, if she knew the body would be found so that people would think that Caylee was really kidnapped, why would she leave her fingerprints on the duct tape. Michael Baden said that you cannot use gloves with duct tape. You must use your bare fingers and most likely your teeth to tear it.

So, she's smart enough to stage a real kidnapping but dumb enough to leave her fingerprints?

At this point, do we know that Casey's fingerprints were left on the tape? Were they able to lift any of the prints on the tape after all that time in the water?

I don't know if this belongs here or not but here is my opinion of some info in the posts here:

Bathing suit found in bag?: "At the beach" is the grain of truth in this lie. I think Caylee was wearing a bathing suit at the time of death.

Part of a dress found?: Maybe she was mad at Caylee and grabbed the mama doll. Caylee gripped it tightly but KC got the doll, Caylee was left with a part of the dress?

I believe she killed Caylee (in whatever horrible manner) and left her in the trunk on a blanket for the 2.6 days. Started smelling and knew she had to do something. Used the shovel from neighbor to help get the decomposing body into a trash bag. (please excuse the graphic nature of this description but necessary and it isn't nearly as horribly graphic as the actual act!). During this transfer, fluids spilled from the mouth (commonly occurs during decomposition evidently) onto the carpet of the car. To prevent this from happening again, she put the duct tape around the mouth/head. This was a messy process and I think she most likely got some of the fluid on herself and went to the back yard to hose off her shoes/pants/hands/ whatever thus the hits in the back yard.

IMO the body was then placed in another location of about a week. Cannot say anything further about this but I do believe it did occur.

She then went back and got the body and put it in another bag of sorts (I am believing a "wardrobe" luggage piece) and took it to the Suburban woods and dumped it...with the intention of moving it yet again but didn't have opportunity as she was too busy planning her future with TL and/or her escape to California...

Playing devil's advocate here - bear with me...?

Doesn't the timing of the meter reader's calls sort of help the defense?

Think about the whole timer55 thing - and remember early on when they kept saying that Caylee's birthday (August 9) was like the 'deadline' - like they had to find her by then or she may be harmed - at least this is what I recall the sentiment to have been back then.

Since the meter reader 1st called on August 11 - just two days after Caylee's birthday - just two days after the 'deadline', wouldn't this support the defense theory (or a possible theory)?

Do you think the defense will use the timing of the first call to their advantage?

ETA: I do not suspect the meter reader at all. I've posted this only regarding timing and possible defense theories.

Tonight on NG ...when I heard the meter reader say there was some kind of board over the log or next to the log or tree.....he said it just didnt look right.....what if KC did do a college? with pics of caylee and.......pics of stuff she found on the internet AFTER she said that Nanny took Caylee.....I keep thinking of the collage of photos with the Tiger, American Flag, The bridge, the Flower.....what if that was found at the crime scene??

and they also said that two pair of sun glasses were taken from the house.....maybe they fount a receit or some kind of tage or sticker....that she may have just thrown in with the bag when she cleaned out the car and trunk with poor little Caylee....

and they said that some toys were taken from the house.....per haps...they found a peice of a toy that they could connect to another toy at the house.....the dress for mama doll.....a puzzle....one of those pens that you use for those talking kid books....a wheel off of a car....stuff like that.....

I think that they took the glasses because someone saw her in that area dumping a plastic bag or bags. The person probably didn't know exactly who it was but was certain that they wore sunglasses. I can picture KC wearing sunglasses to dispose of the body, hoping she would not be recognized.

Timer55

On May 14th, at 8:49 am, Caseys password was changed to Timer55.

On May 14th, at 8:49 am Casey texted Amy saying she had just booked her vacation time from work, and went on excitedly about the trip to Puerto Rico on July 8th.

May 14th-July 8th is 55 days.

I beleive this is the reason for Timer55. Nothing Casey did revolved around Caylee, imo. It was all about her and a good time. This included.

*The computer forensics report has time of password change, and Amys texts show Caseys text on May 14th, fyi.
