He is getting the benefit of everything - extra time - to ensure that he can't ask for a mis-trial. IMO he will ask for mistrial or appeal anyways, as he has all the time in the world in prison to plot an appeal... regardless of the outcome of this trial. I believe we all know what the outcome will be, but let's allow him the 15 minutes of fame as a "lawyer".

Interesting bit of information, but how could their not be a smell? Leave a human body in a barn for two of the hottest weeks of the year, how could it not stink? Did he have a freezer out there?

Yep.. the cruelest punishment of all is letting him have his spot at the lectern with his psychopathic belief that he's the best guy to defend himself. IMHO, this trial is going to be the full enchilada in delving into the mind of a true well funded psycho and a little demented drug fuelled psycho sidekick. It's looking like this duo left far more evidence behind than we could ever have imagined. A picture speaks a thousand words...especially when it's geo located and timestamped. MOO

Just that the blood evidence ( ? ) was at one end of the board, perhaps where her head was, and covered by a bag, which would be approx. the length to cover a head and neck stain. IMO
