The witness says he never noticed any injuries on Babcock. The Crown asks if he ever saw her do drugs - he didn't first hand.
But he understands she and Julia did drugs.

He does remember a conversation where Babcock said she wanted to "get away from Julia," the roommate/high school friend.

It seems like this was progressive since she broke up with SL. It sounds like everyone had difficulty with her mood swings , and since it was getting worse, the last weeks stand out. IMO

They aren't saying anything about DM anyway so not sure why he needs to discredit them. Not really sure the point of any of this is except potentially to get in front of it so the defense cant call these people as their own witnesses which may have more impact on the jury than when the crown calls them and shows they know LBS life was in disarray.

Probably for the same reason everybody else did, she was a pain to have around. Mentally unstable and drug addicted, she was not likely fun to be around for more than a few hours. Julia seemed to be using even more, so it was likely a toxic pairing.

Reading between the lines I'd say that LB was likely doing girl on girl work with Julia given that the both of them were at that doctors Yorkville hotel together.

I guess to raise doubt that any one of these men could have had an issue with LB if she had been bothering them after they paid her for sex? Not many men want to admit that they've used an "escort" service for sex as we've seen here at the trial.

I agree that the Crown needed to get all people on LB's phone list to the stand to "get in front of" their testimony.

Doubt and confusion is the only shot they have. The more men turn out to be sketchy and liars the more feasible it seems she went off with someone else or got hurt by someone else. This is probably a moot point anyway since in the TB trial they hammered some frivolous nonsense about a box falling out of a police vehicle meanwhile they had 1000 and 1 pieces of evidence against them. Same could be here lol we'll find out later there is a video of smich and DM doing a weekend at Bernie's reenactment with LB corpse. Knowing how dumb they are..

It is better the Crown have them as witnesses, not the defense. She was unstable but not until she got hooked up with DM. She finished university, was working. Drugs can cause psychosis, and DM was giving her drugs unsolicited. He knew she was unstable. When she unraveled more he wants to murder her. He is a sadistic predator/murderer, nothing else. It is awful he preyed on those he was familiar with but then he began to look for innocent people on the internet to prey on and murder. He probably could put on a good act of being charming and so people were fooled by him. It is like Paul Barnardo , some said he was good looking and charming and he used that to prey on young girls to murder. That is what DM did he could put on a good act of looking like an okay guy and people were fooled by him. DM and Paul Barnardo are the ones to be the most afraid for that reason.

Yes, he needs to discredit all these witnesses. Like the guy yesterday who in his police report said that he saw her on July 11 (I believe). Millard should have pushed harder on that. When did you realize it wasn't her? Did you change your statement only because it didn't fit the timeline? That claim was a big opening for Millard and I think he let it slide. I guess that they might have been easily able to confirm who it actually was (via the agency), so it might have been better to raise the question and let it go without fully answering the question.
