Floriani took video of the location, we're told. He has seen the photos taken by another officer. We're going to see them now. #Babcock

Looking at photos of the open garage door. One car, maybe a Honda Prelude. "Quite cluttered with containers and whatnot," Floriani describes

Floriani takes the jury members through a series of photos - there will be 38 in total, of Smich's mother's home.

It's a two-story brick home. Right now we're looking inside the garage.

Next photo, inside garage.
"In the centre of the screen you can see a door." It enters into a mud room, Floriani says. #Babcock

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now46 seconds ago
Now the video Floriani shot on his tour of house. Seeing mud room with produce on steps. Purple paint on walls. Camera turns back to garage

Is it illegal to subpoena accused's immediate family? I noticed neither of their mothers had to testify nor the sisters

Now front door of house. Red brick exterior with white trim. Name on mailbox? Floriani can't make it out. Crown zooms in. "#Smich."

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now14 seconds ago
Next photo is inside #Smich entry. Hallway with parquet floor and stairs lead to second floor. #Babcock

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now13 seconds ago
Smich's mother is in court and watching this "home" video fairly intently. #Smich is watching on a screen in front of him on desk.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now10 seconds ago
Now looking at #Smich family room, with TV and glass door leading outside. Another perspective shows fireplace, couch, coffee table.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now17 seconds ago
More
Next photo is living room, with dining table, french doors, patterned furniture with heavy wooden trip. Drapes. Tall plants. #Smich
Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
Dark wood floors, light coloured walls, table cloth and dried flower arrangements. Well tended home. #Smich

We now watch a brief video clip taken during the search. We see inside the garage, and a doorway that leads to a mudroom.
It looks like any garage.
Now we see a picture of the front door. On the mailbox, there's a sticker that says Smich.
by Shannon Martin 10:33 AM

We're now inside the home, we see the front hall, a staircase, the family room, dining room, kitchen.
We're on slide 15/38.

Let her know it if you're on twitter. And don't forget to read her report and maybe catch her news clip later. The more response these reporters get, the more their editors will allow them to continue on.

Not sure what useful information they can/would offer. Remember, what a witness says on the stand is based on what they say in their police interview. If the family is less than cooperative, there is no reason to call them to court. Its also possible that they simply didn't know anything about that part of his life.

Thank you Kamille for reporting all of the trial tweets. You have always been such an integral part of this thread.

You are greatly appreciated!

And don't forget that MB was subpoenaed by the Crown for the entire TB trial. They just never called her. Sometimes that's the point, keep them out of the courtroom.

Photo of kitchen, another table, glass doors leading to wooden deck, Floriani tells court. Tidy, well maintained, not modern.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
Photos of upstairs bedroom, and crown is playing video of same. Mess of hangers, clothes, unmade bed. No pictures on beige walls. #Smich

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now8 seconds ago
Floriani is describing mess. Sheets in clump, jeans, garbage bag, luggage all on bed. #Smich "I take it this is how you found it?" Judge.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
Some of the mess on the bed was put there by searching officers, Floriani clarifies. #Smich

We see another short video clip. This is of a bedroom.
There is a mattress on the ground, with sheets on top in a pile. There is a pair of jeans, a garbage bag, and a red bag - sort of looks like a duffel bag - on top of the mattress.
To the right of the bed, is a black binder on the ground.
The room is very messy, the officer explains this video was taken after the police search.

Screen capture from forensic video shows red bag and a binder of papers on the floor, and a yellow thing that looks like a vacuum. #Smich

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now7 seconds ago
Officers made an exhibit of papers found in binder on floor. Document is a resume in name of Mark #Smich. #Babcock

Close up view of a pile of stuff. Floriani says you can see an end table with drawers pulled out. Black electronic device on top. #Smich

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now8 seconds ago
The table is covered with stuff, including medication and a piece of ID. #Smich

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now38 seconds ago
The black electronic device is an iPad seized by police, Floriani agrees. The red back from first bedroom not seized by police. #Smich

Back to photographs. We see a tight shot of Mark Smich's resume.

We are in another room. There is a large pile of stuff, boxes, a computer chair, a fan, an end table. On top of the end table is an ipad.

Court has heard about Mark's ipad previously - we'll find out if it's the same one. But the ipad the jury has heard about, originally belonged to Laura Babcock. It was a gift from her former boyfriend, Shawn Lerner, who remained a close friend. The Crown contends Babcock's ipad was renamed to "Mark's ipad" after she disappeared.

Close up of end table shows Mark Daniel #Smich health card, next to zig zag rolling papers and what appear to be marijuana accessories.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now4 seconds ago
Back yard of #Smich home has metal shed, with door lying unattached, inside shed itself. Yard has a few plastic chairs in a circle.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
The photos & video have been made exhibits so I should be able to share them. No defence lawyers have questions. Floriani is done. #Babcock

During opening statements on Oct. 23, the Crown told the jury rap lyrics were found on the iPad that once belonged to Babcock, and was re-named "Mark's iPad."

The rap lyrics were written on July 23, 2012.
The ***** started off all skin and bone/

now the ***** lay on some ashy stone/

last time I saw her's outside the home/

and if you go swimming you can find her phone.

The Crown alleges Babcock was killed July 3, 2012.
by Shannon Martin 10:54 AM

Millard and Dungey have no questions for the officer.

He's finished in the witness box.

Justice Michael Code wishes him well and says, "enjoy your retirement."
