[email protected] is another email address on the iPad; that's also the address for the iTunes account. #Smich #Babcock

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now37 seconds ago
The camera roll for the iPad has a series of photo thumbnails. Too small for me to see. #Smich #Babcock

BBM - have we heard of this one before?

  • #164
Ryder takes us through the camera roll on Smich's phone, we aren't seeing close ups, just really small photos.

From what I can see, there are many photos of Smich's girlfriend at the time, Marlena, selfies, and pics of the couple.

Crown has finished questioning, Dellen Millard up now.

Ken Lockhart is done with Ryder. #Millard has questions. #Babcock

Most likely questions that this person can't answer.

The airplane mode feature, #Millard asks, turns off all the connectivity? Does this affect the battery life? Ryder agrees it does. #Babcock

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now21 seconds ago
Some users put their devices in airplane mode to save power, #Millard says, and Ryder agrees.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now57 seconds ago
Millard asks about airplane mode. The analyst says he's not sure if or when the iPad was in airplane.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
Hotmail is an email service, right? For the most part free? The free version works purely through the internet, right? #Millard

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now1 minute ago
Dellen #Millard is establishing that anyone can make a hotmail account in anyone's name. #Babcock

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now23 seconds ago
Theoretically someone could go make a [email protected] address right? #Millard asks. Provided no one else uses that handle.

  • #169
Millard asks about airplane mode. The analyst says he's not sure if or when the iPad was in airplane.

Millard now asks the analyst about Hotmail. He says "anybody who wants to create a hotmail account, all you would need is an internet connection...and you make up an address. There's no ID verification involved in the process?

The analyst says it depends, some services require a second email address to verify the person's identification.
by Shannon Martin 1:20 PM

Millard, "an email address can be made up by anybody?"

The analyst, "of course."

Looks like DM is going with the ever popular "I was framed" defence again? :dunno:

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now23 seconds ago
YesYouMay was the hotmail account turned on #Millard asks? No, that was Say10, Ryder corrects. YesYouMay was the iMessage acct.

I definitely remember the YesYouMay account.

[email protected] was the FaceTime contact, not known whether used for visual/audio chats. Diplomatix was the Apple ID. #Babcock

There was no locking security on the iPad, #Millard gets Ryder to explain. "I didn't understand any of that," says Justice Code.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now25 seconds ago
Millard asks if there was a password on the iPad, the analyst says there was no security set up whatsoever.

I am stunned at their stupidity too.... DM had nitrile gloves with TB DNA, and truck key on his own key ring when arrested....

I think Millard's tattoo says it all "I am Heaven Sent". He thought he was God and could get away with anything.

There was also an interesting SMS message from Millard after Smich texted "Praise the lord!" to Millard. He responded: "Become the lord". That was April 5 2013; one month before the Bosma murder. He literally thinks he is Jesus or something.

"There is no identification required to use the device," Ryder explains. He can't say who touched the device, just what's on the device.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now43 seconds ago
"Anybody coming along could pick it up and use it," #Millard says. #Babcock

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now30 seconds ago
Millard says, "so the fact that certain email accounts connected to the device doesn't really mean anything?"

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now17 seconds ago
Millard goes on, "it's like keys to a car, anyone can hop in and drive it."

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now1 minute ago
The analyst says he can't comment who used it.
Millard is done. Mr. Dungey, Smich's lawyer stands.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now42 seconds ago
Millard is done. Dungey now for #Smich, after conferring with his client. #Babock.

  • #177
Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews now18 seconds ago
Dungey, for #Smich, also establishes that experts can't tell who put what information onto a device. #Babcock

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now12 seconds ago
Dungey, "You can't tell who may have entered that information in there... You can't tell the continuity of the messages in there?"

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now8 seconds ago
Dungey is trying to get to the different messaging options.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now2 minutes ago
The analyst says iMessage, email, all of them will have a time stamp.

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV 33s34 seconds ago
Dungey says, "you can't tell who is sending the messages though, regardless of who the account belongs to?"

Shannon Martin‏ @ShannonMartinTV now1 minute ago
The analyst agrees. Dungey is done.

Lisa Hepfner‏ @HefCHCHNews 2m2 minutes ago
Mark #Smich went by the nickname SAY10, another agreed statement of fact from crown Ken Lockhard. #Babcock

Babcock trial over until Tuesday. @CHCHNews 6pm for full story, court exhibits, and what's happening next week.

The way that I understood the testimony in regard to the ipad being called 'MS's ipad'... was that the ipad was backed up to a computer hard drive which was found inside DM's residence, where the backup file was called 'MS's ipad'.. I wasn't getting that the ipad itself had changed its name. I can't find where I read that from now though!

The backup file name is taken from the name of the device. There is no option to name the file when doing a backup. So the iPad was called "Mark's iPad".

Justice Michael Code thanks the jury for their time. He says we got through 13 witnesses this week, and court is about one week ahead of schedule.

He says next week 8 witnesses are expected.

Code reminds them court will NOT sit Monday as a jury member has requested a day off to attend a funeral.

That means our live blog will return Tuesday, Nov. 7 10 a.m. ET
