It's interesting that LB's phone appears to track with DM's when he goes on that 1 hour mission between 7:20-8:20pm on July 3. Both of their phones ping towers near the 427/407 junction at 7:31pm. It seems DM drove straight north along the 427 to the 407. By 8pm, DM appears to be on the 401 southwest of Pearson airport, heading back to his house.

The drive path is like a big loop along the surrounding highways (e.g. 427 north to 407, west to 410, south to 401, then east back toward Maple Gate). It seems reminiscent of going on the Dodge truck test drives. It's not clear if DM stopped anywhere along the way, and it's odd that LB's phone is there but it never gets used. If LB was in the car with him, you might expect her to respond to a text or phone call. Maybe she was "busy", or incapacitated, or already murdered?

Another point of curiosity for me: if LB was murdered earlier in the evening, what happened with her body until the following morning when it allegedly got rolled up in a tarp? Did DM/MS just leave her body lying somewhere, like on the bed that had to be replaced? Or, if she was murdered later, like in the early a.m. hours of July 4, why did she not use her phone after 7pm the night before? Was it forcefully taken away from her? The more I try to fill in these gaps, the more that I think I would rather just not know.

I don’t want to keep repeating myself but DM, Dungey and Judge all made it sound like she was there and ready to testify for the crown but for whatever reason, whether CN turned very hostile or crown found out CN and DM were still talking or ??? They didn’t put her on the stand.

IMHO, she wouldn't be anywhere without her mother. However, if she was planning on donning a disguise I guess she could have attended court just to offer DM some moral support- his little secret agent. CN held on to those letters for a reason- who in their right mind would keep dozens of illegally transported letters? Especially the ones with such incriminating information in them? IMO those letters are some of the most damning pieces of evidence the crown has. Thank you CN and MB- no testimony needed. LB 1 vs CN & MB 0

I’m sure she would have made a circus out of the courtroom again! Or “I don’t remember cuz I was ‘busy’ and didn’t see”. IMO, she’s as useless as DM and Dungey was correct by saying that they were meant for each other!

I honestly do not know how this whole group of people can even show their faces in public! That whole group of idiots are absolutely appalling!

ETA, my guess is, her role would be In regards to the letters and to show that she wasn’t with DM on the 3rd and 4th....Camp lady testimony that no one understood and DMs letter stating that they were together that day.

Are you referring to the pings from the tower on Rathburn? I was actually wondering if their phones were pinging that tower while they were at Maple Gate since MS’s phone looks like it also pings that tower when i’m pretty sure that we were told MS was at DM’s.

ETA: I went back through the pings again a couple of time and now I think I see what you mean. Are you referring to the Claireport and Steinway pings?

Everybody wants to think of pings off a tower in terms of that locating someone within a 50 foot radius as in James Bond.
A tower covers a few square miles of a city>
If a tower covered a mile in each direction that's 7 square miles.How many houses are there in your 7 square mile block of your city?
Where I live we have 3 towers covering 18 thousand people and 1 of those is backup in case one of the others go down.
My phone pings of the same tower as everyone else.
That is a scary thought when I think of how many crimes I might be associated with.
Cell phones can not be tracked block by block but rather, two to five miles
And keep in mind a cell phone has a 20 mile range.
I have said this before on WS and no one wants to listen.
Most everyone wants to say same tower-same house.
That makes it so much easier.

Perhaps this is why the jury chose to not sit on weekends... they can go home and refresh / reference Billandrew's timeline...

I am amazed with Justice Code. Very thoroughly covering all main evidence. As I expect any judge to do. However, he must have been working on his Charge to the Jury from day 1.
Not knocking Justice Goodman. Did it not take Goodman just shy of a week to prepare his Charge?

We are all here for Justice, Justice for Laura. Her family now has some answers. I am sure, not the answers they wanted to hear. I can not imagine, how hard it was for them to sit through this trial day after day. And to be face to face with the accused.

I was hesitant to add this, as it maybe against rules here but have to share this, reminds me of how I think Laura wanted to be.

Are you referring to the pings from the tower on Rathburn? I was actually wondering if their phones were pinging that tower while they were at Maple Gate since MS’s phone looks like it also pings that tower when i’m pretty sure that we were told MS was at DM’s.

I noticed the Eva Road pings so that must be DM driving on the 427. I think my route from the Kipling Station would be Dundas to Neilson, north on Neilson to Bloor, west on Blood to Mill Road, north on Mill and then left onto Maple Gate.

The pings on Rathburn and at Centennial Park are quite close to Maple Gate.

The owner of the company I work for lives in Sidney By The Sea on Vancouver Island. Some days his phone pings in Canada and other days it bounces off cell towers in Bellingham, Washington. He never knows why and it happens all the time. He knows because he gets charged long distance on those calls that have to be reversed every month.

I wonder if some of those Rathburn Rd or Centennial Park pings are just being routed differently but that the phones are really at Maple Gate.

About CN. Take it for what it's worth, but I think I saw her getting on public transportation about the right place and right time to get to 360 University by 10. It was one of the last days of crown presenting. Not even 97% confident though - sharp angle and not enough interest to confirm.

Perhaps she was heading out to look for Gabe Austerweil at the nut store?

Another thought on those Eva Rd pings and the Rathburn Rd pings. On the east side of the 427 directly across from Eva Road is Capri Court. It runs off The East Mall and is close to Rathburn. Those apartment buildings on Capri are NOTORIOUS for violence, drug dealing and bad stuff. Police are constantly there and I can't count how many times I have heard that address come up when someone has been killed or arrested for drugs. They either lived there or were arrested there etc. etc.

All the kids know that's where you go to buy drugs. Could be a connection for DM and MS there. Maybe Isho hung out there too.

Again, just a thought.
