I am thinking solid floor. A previous owner had bobcat and backhoe type equip in it at one time.

Those can go over the pit...my dads does. the pit width is narrower than a vehicle and some have a sturdy cover for smaller things. Just saying since we dont know whats in there.

Crap, I was watching the back feed. What did it look like?

2ft long, black, about 4 to 6 inches in depth, like if it was a radiator type plastic container. *shrug* best words I can find to describe off the top of my head.CSI mask I saw was 3 haszmat people walked from front to back.

NO they don't. They hit a splashblock on the ground. Look at the images. KCMO has a special permit needed to pipe runoff. There could be old drainage from the pool

Wow. All the rainwater that hits the roof and goes into the gutter would end up at the corner of the house and cause water damage to the basement.

I missed Forensics 101 but whatever they are doing they are seriously interested in that culvert/ditch/drainage whatchamacallit on the far left from the front of the house.

I agree..it would appear to be based on soemthing credible..or tangible, imo

I just don't think they'd go to this extent back there on a mere hunch.

They went to this much trouble, at least, searching that well under the old abandoned house. Just to be thorough, and rule it out.
