Sometimes they use 22 bullets in a special gun to blow holes in concrete to open it up...

Watch the top left corner of the backyard feed.. right through the trees by the neighbors window.. I'm pretty sure I see white smoke going up.

From http://livewire.kmbc.com/Event/Live_Blog_Amber_Alert_Issued_For_Missing_10-Month-Old
KMBC's Micheal Mahoney reports that there was a loud and unexpected noise in the area near where police are searching the home of missing 11 month old Lisa Irwin. Police have been on the for nearly four hours executing a search warrant on the property. Mahoney said the noise sounded like the sound of a electrical transformer blowing. A wisp of white smoke could be seen rising from behind or near the south side of the house. There has been no explanation by police.

I assumed they are recording footage to put a piece together, sort of like stock shots.

They looks so cold there, so I checked the temp: 46 degrees and windy...

It's been there all day. I think it's being used to hold the crime scene tape off the ground. (or to keep anyone from pulling into the driveway)
