I missed the MSM link for this one!

It was on the live feed from the local t.v. station. Sorry don't know the call letters right off. It was the spaniel and at the same time they were searching the house and back yard. The cars were in the drive.

Absolutely, and it would happen more often if people could keep their traps shut!! Sorry, I know that we all want to know what is going on, but in the long run that's not what is often best for the case. When the tighten everything up they lessen the chance of leaks (at least you hope that's what happens). This is not just a MP case where someone wandered off. There is foul play involved, a crime was committed by someone or multiple someones.
They may very well have found her, or evidence of her, or of the crime, we should be the last to know.

I totally agree with you. I'm surprised the news media is allowed so close to the house with a camera.

It is included in the timeline of this site I believe.

I just did a quick search and didn't find anything about a garage sale. Can you help a member out? :seeya:

Or they are looking to put their unfamiliar buttcheeks on your toilet seat. Ummm...no thanks. Citgo up the street.

Same subdivision. Most of us have been here more than 20 years. A lot of those have been here 40+.

Thanks for answering! This case has really got to me. Her face is angelic. My favorite pic of her is in her little leopard dress sitting on a couch or something with a very drowsy look on her face. I'm sure you and your neighbors are devastated this is happening so close!!

I had a dream last night that they found something in a vent... like an AC vent.... But, at the neighbors house ... the one she was drinking with.

Ok I get it, it was not a smart thing to do. Rather naive, in fact. However, it is a possibility that if someone took Lisa as the parents claim, they might have first laid eyes on her at the garage sale. IMO that is all I'm actually saying

I have had yard sales before, but I would seriously shriek with laughter in someone's face if they wanted to go into my home alone for any reason. I have also went to a billion yard sales and would never ask to go into someone's house. I was born and raised in a not great neighborhood in a city though so I tend to be somewhat paranoid/cynical when it comes to strangers in my residence. I don't even entirely like that the bug spray people come in when I am not home. I bet there are areas where it would be normal though-perhaps even in DB and JI's neighborhood??

I have been praying all day that something is found. Surely if something did happen there would be evidence somehow. I am also baffled because I am pretty much convinced the cells were pinging close to the house, but what perfect hiding spot is keeping them hidden away from multiple searches?

Thank you so much! She deserves to be remembered.

They ALL do, Jane. Tragically though, there are just so many it IS hard to keep track. :(

Oh God. Um, not just no, but hell no!

I know, seriously. " You want to go in and try it on? It's a dollar, buy it or don't buy it...but you ain't going inside to try it on!!"

So they did not take their car with them to the house where they are living?

Exactly. If I don't know you, you're lucky if I even answer my door when you knock.

It won't surprise me if the next thing we hear from DB is that a garage-saler asked to go into her house to try something on.

That is very possible.

I agree it's possible. After watching her interviews - and I mean no disrespect to DB - but she seems naive, and also has a constant case of foot-in-mouth syndrome.

That is why we just donate old clothes & such to Goodwill. We get a tax deduction and the items go to someone who might really need them.

But my gosh, some people are so trusting! My former neighbor got a new job and was moving to Florida so she started selling her furniture on Craigslist. She had strange people traipsing in and out of her house all day, and she lived by herself! Of course, she knew that her other neighbors and I would keep an eye on her, but you can't be watching all the time. I guess it is easy to get complacent when you live in a quiet neighborhood where mostly people know one another, but you just never, ever know who might be out there.

And you know what, it has just occurred to me to wonder whether the back door to the house was secured when DB and her neighbor were sitting on on the porch drinking wine?

I don't think turnadot is saying THIS warrant only covers a "pertinent" area within the house. I think he/she was trying to explain that search warrants are supposed to be as specific as possible and related to the probable cause the Judge signs off on - and that's true. LE needed to be able to show, based on their probable cause, that they expected to recover something in the yard and something in the house, in order to search both places.

It appears to me that LE must have pretty solid probable cause to do the in depth search I saw on the video today.

HTH,

Salem

I have never seen a search warrant that limits a search to a single room or area within a house. Evidence could be hidden anywhere inside a house/garage. I think it would be impossible for LE to know in advance where to look.
