LE serves search warrant on family home #3

Hair, fibers, fingerprints, footprints, DNA, etc. to help identify the abductor/person responsible for the missing baby.

But so many newscrews and cameramen and reporters have traipsed in and out of there already. DARN.

We have a warrant for the house," city police spokesman Capt. Steve Young told The Associated Press early Wednesday. He did not explain why a warrant was necessary. There was no indication that the family has tried to block investigators' access to their home, which has already been scoured by FBI agents with dogs.

BI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said the search is not based on any sort of tip. Patton said they were restricting media access because agents are using a procedure involving dogs that they don't want taped. She declined to elaborate.

Right, but evidence of what? What areas would have been included within the scope of the warrant? LE can't simply go to a judge and say, 'We want a warrant to tear that house apart.' and get it.

I understand. I want her found too, alive and well.

My thinking was whether they suspected the parents or an outsider they would not want the house tampered with till they searched it entirely..
Especially letting the parents back in there...

Hear all of that noise in the background. This is what the people on the corner have had to put up with 24/7. generators running, diesel engines running. car doors slamming, etc. I am sure that all of them would be more understanding of them if they were even the slightest bit considerate. They put up with it because of baby Lisa.

at one point today an LEO got in the car and backed it up out of camera shot of the front of the house and all you saw was the tree.. maybe another car

than on the liveblog they posted a picture (still) taken that showed further back out of the live feed where the bomb truck and multiple trucks were parked... I think this could be where any cars bringing in the dogs were parked as well..

there is one msm link that said that was why they initiated the no fly zone (dog techniques being used)....

also further noted, I posted a link about the kcpd bomb and arson squad.. they have two accelerant sniffing dogs.. so not sure if that is part of the "equipment" that was used today ((think dumpster fire and DB saying she was shown burned clothing in her interviews))

just thinking outside the box there ^^

I agree with you. Somebody started that dumpster fire and I noticed when DB was talking about being shown the burned clothes, she didn't deny that they were Lisa's clothes. Instead, she commented that she though cops were lying about it.

If as some think, they hid these phones so well that no one can find them, a question I have would be why did they mention them in the first place. Would the LE just assume automatically they had cell phones and get the records. I am just trying to figure out why anyone would steal them or for that matter why would anyone hide them. Didn't they also report that the phones were restricted and that no calls could be made from them. So that information would be on the logs.

So, confusing to me. jmo

good point,if they knew they had gotten rid of them so well that they wouldnt be found why mention them but on the other hand if they didnt mention them and cops found out they had cells and didn't inform them that they were missing theyd have to explain theirselfs outta that one.

i know where my cell is 24/7 so if it went missing id know about it and as im sure a lot of people would JMO

They just best be glad I dont live on the corner! There's a lot I can put up with, but total disrespect is not one of them. If they were acting like normal respectable citizens we wouldn't be complaining. ANYthing for the story.

They seem so confident that they are (or maybe they already have) going to find something in the specific areas around the house and in the house. They keep returning to specific areas and searching. I have to say they are being very thorough but what is making them keep returning to these areas?

Do they think that, if DB and JI are involved, that they didn't go far? Or do they think JI knows nothing and that it's only DB and she couldn't go far?

Usually a warrant includes everything contained on the premises including the garage. The "clicking" sounds the boys supposedly heard was just recently mentioned and could be the basis of the warrant. Or they may have decided to wait on the warrant until after the family had a chance to return to the house and perhaps "replace" items that they had removed prior to the searches they agreed to allow.

In my experience (I've seen a plethora of warrants), this isn't true. A warrant usually covers pertinent areas only, to search for items covered in the warrant. That may mean the entire house is within the scope of the warrant, or it might not. Though LE can take items not covered if it's evidence of a crime, or say, illegal drugs.

I posted it earlier also, asking if Sarx or Oriah could take a guess at what the whole dog issue is about, but Sarx respected LE's decision not to disclose what it may be for, so she wouldn't speculate. And I understand that... but my curiosity is driving me nuts! :crazy:

By the way, in trying to figure out what the black thingies are, I came across this forensic evidence site and browsed their products. I didn't find anything that really matched (except static shield bags, but I don't think there would be that many of them in this case?). That makes sense and may tie into the fire in the dumpster.

I wonder if they are looking for evidence of where the parents have been , by looking
at ,say, mud caked on a shoe or carpet , or leaves or other plant debris , if that
mud or leaves dont match what is in their yard , that might give them places they
could search if forensics can identify where it could have come from.
