I was right and the first to say way back when it was xray that black thingy. Found this:

Much of the equipment used in explosive ordinance disposal operations have been upgraded and increased the range and capabilities of the bomb technicians at the scene. Upgraded environmental monitoring, equipment access, equipment deployment, technological improvements in x-ray processing and remote operations has vastly improved the capabilities and speed with which technicians can identify and mitigate explosive hazards. Multiple classified and sensitive equipment systems and capabilities are available to the technicians. Many of the “hands on” approaches traditionally applied are now accomplished remotely.

good point,if they knew they had gotten rid of them so well that they wouldnt be found why mention them but on the other hand if they didnt mention them and cops found out they had cells and didn't inform them that they were missing theyd have to explain theirselfs outta that one.

i know where my cell is 24/7 so if it went missing id know about it and as im sure a lot of people would JMO

The parents reported the phones and Lisa missing. If the phones are found hidden, then the parents are liars. No jury will conclude it was a stranger abduction.

Hear all of that noise in the background. This is what the people on the corner have had to put up with 24/7. generators running, diesel engines running. car doors slamming, etc. I am sure that all of them would be more understanding of them if they were even the slightest bit considerate. They put up with it because of baby Lisa.

If a baby were missing in my neighborhood, I would be willing to put up with all the noise, all the media traffic, all the inconvenience, etc., in the hope precious baby girl would be found.

Hang in there, IDM! And TY for your on the scene info!

They seem so confident that they are (or maybe they already have) going to find something in the specific areas around the house and in the house. They keep returning to specific areas and searching. I have to say they are being very thorough but what is making them keep returning to these areas?

Do they think that, if DB and JI are involved, that they didn't go far? Or do they think JI knows nothing and that it's only DB and she couldn't go far?

I think they have no solid leads and are considering every possibility. Probably doing the same things we are, but then asking the right people and acting on assumptions, hunches, ideas and tips. They are under a tremendous amount of pressure becUse of the Casey Anthony case and maybe this is why everything is being played so close to the vest. They want full proof evidence of the guilty party before an arrest is made. IMO

Well, to the best of our knowledge, they have not found the baby. They sure seem to be leaving no stones unturned, at the house. That then leads me to think there may have been an accomplice that took the baby away from the area, OR there truly was a kidnapping.

Everything inside of me goes against the kidnapping theory, for many, many reasons.

So, Baby Lisa, where oh where, are you????

That reminded me of infrared sensors used during a recent home inspection we had done (we ended up not buying the house). It was very cool... Here's a sample photo that I found by a quick search - you can see *alot* with it:

Hi everyone! Is the KMBC site the only site with Live Feed? Also, In Da Middle, how far do you live from this home if you don't mind me asking? Thx!

O/T

I dunno...that's what I heard just now on NPR. Guy kept them, decided to commit suicide and let all these wild animals loose first.

You can't make this stuff up, folks.

:floorlaugh: the world's gone mad.

Friends and family would be able to verify they have cell phones.

Maybe they burned the cell phones .

I have never heard of LE not announcing the discovery of remains of a victim.

The justification could be that until the remains are unequivocally identified as Lisa an announcement should not be made. Just speculation of course!

Just bouncing off your post, cell phones would be one of the easiest pieces of evidence to get rid of. Just toss 'em off a bridge into the Missouri River, etc. (ETA: Unless it was a last-minute thought and they quickly hid them and never retrieved them?)

I think they're looking for something else besides the phones. I just can't figure out what, other than little Lisa...

Where are you, sweetie?

In my experience (I've seen a plethora of warrants), this isn't true. A warrant usually covers pertinent areas only, to search for items covered in the warrant. That may mean the entire house is within the scope of the warrant, or it might not. Though LE can take items not covered if it's evidence of a crime, or say, illegal drugs.

IMO

I don't know how you can argue that the warrant in this case covers a "pertinent" area within the house only when we know the search has been going on for hours both inside and outside the house. I've never seen a warrant that restricts LE to only a specific area inside a house and I don't believe this one does, either.

Welcome, Kansas Person and TJRedline!

:hot: phew, ok, just got home and I think I'm sorta caught up. This afternoon I finished watching the videos I needed to analyze (:takeabow:), so I'm gonna reward myself by devoting this evening to WS before I start another batch tomorrow.

:settles in:
