I'm guessing some of them just need to be there just in case something is found or just in case they search a part of the house that requires extra manpower.

This is the downside of the internet. Before we had access to live streaming of police searches we only knew the facts afterwards and would naturally just get a summary of what happened. Now that we see these things live, it just seems slow and drawn out but there's a purpose to all of it I'm sure.
