I pity her deeply. And I can't even begin to imagine what my reaction would have been in the immediate time after the incident or any time thereafter. She was and is still grieving. Two losses. I can't judge any of it. But I know what it's like when someone in your family does something truly horrific. Your reactions are all over the place for a long time, and the public often sees something very different than what your loved ones see.
