How many MONTHS have you been pouring through this evidence, how many months have you been perfecting this time-line. How long have you had to listen to others ideas and bounce questions off each other?

Oh, I forgot. This case will last at least three weeks, maybe more. Oh I forgot, the jury is told not to speak with each until they hear ALL of the evidence in the case. Oh I forgot, ALL the evidence the JURY hears is not all the information you have reviewed, Of I forgot, you are at home with your family right now and want to be on this forum for fun. Oh I forgot, a juror has to give up his livelihood for the entirety of the trial,. Oh I forgot the jury will be sequestered and kept from his family (will probably pick jury in one county and put up in hotel here for trial). Of I forgot that a jury will not see, hug, or kiss their family for a long time, Oh I forgot, you were trying to be cute but you never thought about what a jury will actually have to do before they reach YOUR verdict.

So don't count your intravenous needles before they are injected in her.
Just an "FYI"...many of us are not here for "fun". We were drawn here for a lot of different reasons...I for one came upon this website about a year and a half ago searching for a missing young man from my town. I haven't left (LOL). There's a lot of great work done on this site and I would hate to see it trivialized. The last word I would think I'd personally use to describe what WS is about...or what we as posters do here...is fun. I wish for a perfect world where there is no need for a site such as this.

PS- please also know that "mentally challenged" is the more pc word to use these days.

I am glad you are here offering to help answer our questions. Thank you!

Hope your Thanksgiving was a happy one.

I don't mind.

I just got done reading the email, too bad Baez took none of your advise. As we have watched the case unfold it's dumb founding how these people kept opening their mouths.

OT: the gators took our beloved coach Urban Myers, we miss him here in Utah!

I have reviewed most of the discovery.

I believe that they they will pick a jury in another county and then try the case here in Orange County and sequester the jury during the trial.

The reason being is that there are over 275 listed witnesses for the state, all the physical evidence is here, etc.

So from a financial standpoint, what would be cheaper? Put 12 people up in a hotel for two months; or put hundreds of people up in a hotel in some other county for two months.

You can't.

I didn't know that you could pick a jury in another county but still try the case in Orange County...very interesting.

Do you ever wish that you had gone into a different area of law?

What piece of evidence would you attack the prosecution on the most?

Mr. Hornsby, thanks for answering everyone's questions thus far. I have a question as well:

Let's say you're the prosecuting attorney. What evidence would you present to the jury, what information or testimony would you leave out, what would you do to get Casey convicted?

Please find the email I posted on my blog where I conspire with Baez and offer my legal assistance in representing the wretched baby killer.

It will not only answer your question - it will tell you my exact feelings the month Casey was first arrested.

Can anyone link the email referenced above. I have searched his blog and I can not find it? Thanks in advance.

Jury Selection in Central Florida and with Judge Strickland is directed to the entire panel. So it is more like a townhall, than a 1 on 1 questioning. This is onea area I am 100% correct on. So no more responses from me to how the selection process occurs.

Mr. Hornsby,

I was not asking to be sarcastic, attacking or disrespectful. I truly do appreciate your coming here and answering questions. I will be the first to say, your knowledge on ALL law, and processes are far greater than I would even pretend to know. I was asking to truly get an understanding. I just found it odd, that, as in my example, that one juror would state his opinion and other jurors would just follow suit and agree, which would disqualify him/her. Your example, to say one would be asked a question about Ms. Lyon's comments and then the others are asked who agrees she is a witch, or whatever, and disqualifying them, seemed to put jurors in a simple state of mind. And also I thought there were only so many each side could disqualify. I guess I will go back through the thread and look for your more in depth answers on jury selection. Maybe it was described more thoroughly and I missed it.

But thanks for sort of, addressing my real question.:confused:

I can't see where Baez or any other attorney would think that this press (advertising) is good.

I would think the best approach would be to try and stay away from the lime light.

Is Baez that inexperienced that he hasn't learned that yet?

I'm assuming that you would not put yourself nor your client in the media spotlight.

Can you elaborate on the whole media subject, and what you feel the merits or detraction's to the case are? Does the state or the defense benefit from this?

I have it up now and there is nothing there. Unless it is blocked to people outside of the US.

So for me, not working.

Opening Statements is the single aspect of this case that I am truly looking forward to hearing.

Because that is the first moment that the speculation will end and all of our questions will be answered.

I cannot wait to hear from the State say how they will prove first degree murder.

I cannot wait to hear from the defense whether Casey Anthony will testify.

OMG! That will truly be the most exciting moment of the case aside from the verdict.

I agree Mr. Horsnby and too, I can't wait to see her squirm each and everytime a lie she told is discussed and proven in front of her face..

Mr. Horsnby,
The video that the state alleges to have of Casey in the jail the day the remains were discovered, before the body was identified with Casey freaking out, do you think it will come in at trial?

Thank you for posting the link, but the link is not working, for me. It comes up as a blank white page which says "done" at the bottom of the page as if the page is loaded but it is not.

Are you able to pm me with a copy/pasted version? I would ask you to post it openly here but I do not want to violate TOS of WS.

TIA :)

I believe he answered this earlier in the thread.
