Friendswood man said he was going for walk, but never returned home, say police​

Lester Mabry, 38, was last seen on Clearview Avenue in Friendswood at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, after telling family members that he was going for a walk, police said. He didn't come back home.

Mabry was last seen wearing gray Puma shoes, blue jeans and a gray hoodie.

Police said he's new to the area.

UPDATE: As of 8:30 PM, The Friendswood Police Department and Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department have searched several areas near Clear Creek throughout the day … the whereabouts of the missing person are still unknown.

UPDATE 10:50 PM: At 8:56 PM, The Friendswood Police Department located a set of human remains in a wooded area adjacent to the east end of Clearview Avenue. The Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office is on scene.

UPDATE 12:00 PM, Monday, December 12: The Friendswood Police Department has continued its search this morning utilizing a drone, K-9 unit, and department boat to look along the Clear Creek waterway and the wooded area at the east end of Clearview Ave. Anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Mabry is asked to call 281-996-3300.
