While not on Netflix (on MGM through Prime) watching the second episode. I remember this murder so well from my High School days. A young boy Tom Sullivan supposedly brutally kills his mother Betty Sullivan and then kills himself after getting interested in Satanism during the 80's.

i grew up one town over and a close friend of mine was a friend of Tommy's. Very tragic. I don't recall all the details but I think the husband/father was a suspect at one time?

They allude to that in the documentary. Very sad story all around.
