Why doesn't she have to go to rehab immediately? A lot can happen in 45 days!

From what I understand, the judge did not give her a date but she has to show proof that she is enrolled in one by May 2 (her next court date).

So I guess she has to be in rehab no later than May 2

and she'll be allowed (most likely) to do her rehab in New York and community service there too.

(since she lives in the NYC area with her mother)

When I saw a picture of her at her court appearance I was SHOCKED. She looks HORRIBLE. She has gone way downhill, even since she did the Liz Taylor film. She managed to look beautiful in that film.

But she must have been partying down lately cuz she looks spent.

Her mother has been known to do drugs and go partying with Lindsay.

Since Lindsay can't afford a place on her own, she lives with her mother at her childhood home on LI.

Usually--and what would that count for in this case, but who knows?--rehab is served at a facility away from one's home and/or "stomping grounds". I would expect her to be sent out of state from both NY and CA.

I heard that there are rehab centers in Conn. so she could chose to go there.

I think for these purposes, CT is still NY. I mean they might send her to Minnesota.

Hmm.... In my experience, most rehabs are "lock-downs" in the sense that if you leave, you can't come back and if applicable you violate any court-imposed directives and restrictions. But in that sense, they're not lock-down, too, in that they won't shoot you if you make a break for it. You'll just go to jail when they catch you because you weren't allowed to leave--that's the court's directive.

Don't count on it. She's not the least bit interested in being clean & sober. (even if she cries and says she is) (Addicts will say anything)

She's been to rehab 6 times already.
