We're seeing a flaw in their theory here... IMO, she put Caylee in the trunk that night and found her dead later...

Cindy's testimony on Saturday:
Cindy said that KC could not bring Caylee up to Cindy's work for her to watch her like she usually did, because June 16th was a MONDAY, and Mondays are tough days for Cindy because of staff meetings and she has to work late on Mondays. KC said she would just take Caylee to Zanny's on June 16th.

LDB - you left for work on June 16, 2008 and worked normal shift?
Cindy - yes normal for a Monday
LDB - talk to KC on June 16, 2008?
Cindy: yes throughout day left her messages or she left msgs, as far as speaking with her - brief conversation, late in afternoon 4:00ish few seconds
LDB - that conversation include discussion of plans for that day?
Cindy - yes she going to spend night at Zanny's - KC couldn't drop Caylee off at my work - KC had to go into work early, typically Caylee could spend time with me, but Mondays are difficult staff mtg - so, KC said she would take Caylee to Zanny's and probably just crash at Zanny's when she [KC] got off work she [KC] had early morning at work - so made sense to just spend night with Zanny and Caylee

LDB - George had to work that Monday - 3-11 normal work hours
George working and you working late that Monday - neither one could watch Caylee?
Cindy - I could have later in the evening, but it made sense for them to spend night with Zanny
LDB - expecting they return home June 17th? yes, but they did not

Somewhere in that testimony CA said Mondays could potentially be a late day because of staff meetings. KC called her repeatedly that afternoon (flurry of calls). Then KC finally gets CA on the phone and only talks for a couple of seconds. Why? It would have taken more than a couple of seconds for KC to say everything CA said she did. While CA was testifying about this she looks down several times and fumbles for her words, seems nervous to me. I think KC did ask CA to babysit and she said no. I'm sure this has been weighing on CA and she blames herself.

Does anyone know why Judge Perry is reviewing the grand jury testimony? I thought it was something jb brought up the other day after ga testified.

Maybe it has to do with the gas cans and the piece of tape that JB spent over an hour on the other day.

It would be pretty funny if every witness the state on on the stand they asked the questions, Has the defendant ever lied to you? Cheated on you? Mislead you? Violated your trust? Stolen from you? Did you ever see her as a child with her dad's penis in her mouth?

This is genius!

Yes, yes...ask every witness if the defendant has ever lied to them. Then have them explain.

That's the perfect counter to Baez's nonsense!

Please refresh my memory--Have the transcripts of George's Grand Jury testimony already been given to the SA and DT? My last recollection (faulty perhaps?) was the SA (not DT) requesting them, but don't remember if JP said yes.

Logically, the SA and DT did them, otherwise how would JB know if GA's latest testimony didn't sync with what he told the Grand Jury.

So confused. :waitasec:

This may have already been answered--I am a bit behind.

The DT would not have a copy of the Grand Jury proceedings. Only the State Attorney's office would have them.

Baez does not know what is in the GJ transcripts, he does not know what George testified to during the Grand Jury hearings. Maybe George told them previously that he did not say anything detrimental to ICA's case--after all, those Grand Jury hearings are secret and his testimony should be protected and unknown to the public. Maybe George told them that he lied during those hearings. We truly do not know. We do know one thing though.

Baez is fishing and hoping. He is hoping that there is something in George's testimony that does not jive with what he is testifying to now at trial.

I feel fairly certain that George testified honestly during the Grand Jury hearings, just as he is doing now. I feel fairly certain that if his testimony waivered in any way during the current court proceedings, that the SA's would have found some reason to object to those transcripts being released.

I also think that Baez was hoping that he could somehow convince HHJP to just hand over the transcripts, but HHJP put a kibosh on that little tactic. HHJP asked the SA's if they had a copy of the transcripts and told Baez that he would look over them and then rule on Baez's request to have them. The next day, the SA's turned over a copy of the Grand Jury transcripts. A day later (yesterday), HHJP stated in court that he would read over the transcripts and tender his ruling on Tuesday.

Baez is fishing. I feel confident that his hook is going to come up empty on Tuesday.

That is what I thought too. But since the judge did not rule yet it makes me worry that there might be some little inconsistencies in there. Normally that would be no problem but in this case, with this witness JP is being excrutiatingly cautious. I worry that JP is going to bend over backwards too much to prevent being reversed on appeal. imoo

Looks like we may have an answer to this. Someone posted in another thread that WESH is reporting that Lippman is going to ask that LEE be able to sit in the courtroom with his parents. WOW. They are uniting now.

Is Lippman representing Lee now, too? I thought he had his own attorney?

My wildest guess is that it has something to do with the defense accusing GA of abusing KC? Since there isn't any evidence to support that?

But I'm not sure they can file such a motion. That's a question I'd like to ask Mr. Hornsby on tomorrow's radio show.

o/t ~ speaking of the radio show, I tried to listen to the show tonight but something must not be right with my computer in order to listen?
I somehow finally got to a page with Tricia's bio and was able to listen to the show (with AZ and Kimster - which was good) but couldn't
figure out how to listen live to RH.

Is there a simple thing I might have done wrong? Do I need something special to listen to live radio? Thank you.
I noticed there is a thread about the radio show. I'm bringing my question more appropriately over there.

My first thought was that he is objecting to his client being called out for sexual abuse and placing his organ in his daughter's mouth without any proof offered by the DT whatsoever. I know that defense lawyers are immune to what they say in defense of their clients, but there has to be a limit. It could be asking for Lee to sit in court with them, but I thought he had a different attorney than his folks. I guess we will see Tuesday. :)

That's how I recall it, too. JB said that Casey could have George's p**** in her mouth in the morning and then go to school and play with the other kids as if everything was normal. I think he said that this was when she was 13, so I doubt that 7th or 8th graders are actually "playing".

The way JB used "could have" to me doesn't mean "may have had" but as a fact. Example: Tommy "could have" a splitting headache in the morning but after taking an aspirin would feel fine in the afternoon. :seeya:

I agree. Anyone remember what times there is a gap in her phone calls and texts the night of the 16th or the morning of the 17th? I know. I'm lazy not to go look it up myself.

Could it be something to do with ga grand jury testimony? I think jb is trying to get ga for perjury.

I believe this move by the defense is trying to IMPEACH GA as he is the one that testified in the grand jury helping to get Casey where she is today so Casey wants to get EVEN! she will get life so will he......

George had to be at work at 3pm and he left home around 2:30.

The only gap in Casey's cell phone and computer usage was from 10am to 11:47. At 10 am she was uploading Fusion pix and messaging people on Myspace.
At 11:47 she had a 19 minute conversation with Tony about their date that night.

So if this 'tragic accident' were to happen in George's presence it would have been in that gap of time. Are they going to suggest that right after she took her dead child from her dad's arms, and watched him get the duct tape out, that she then had a 20 minute convo about movie date night?

What is in the Grand Jury documents or whatever that would get George in trouble? Does anyone know?

LOL only that his testimony put her in jail.

"Everyone grieves differently." Some never get over the loss their entire life, while others only require an hour or so. Must have been a "good movie".
