With all due respect, I don't see how anyone could make up their minds the very first time they see her on t.v. What exactly set your radar off? Or did you see a different interview than I did? IIRC, Deb was crying, barely able to speak and appeared to be no different than other moms whose child has disappeared... how exactly was that enough to declare her guilty of disappearing her child?? I'm not trying to be snarky, I am just curious, because if you were a juror, you're willing to convict her without one shred of real evidence and that is scary as he77 to me!!!
Sorry if this comes across as rude... I don't mean it that way, I'm just stunned at the concept of making up one's mind so quickly.
:seeya: Let me see how I can explain this where it will make sense, at least some sense ... lol
What I do is I "listen carefully" to what is being said, as well as I watch the "body language" ... I look for "inconsistencies" in what was said, and Deb had a huge amount of changes in her "story and "timeline" ... I read the statements and "analyze" what was said as well as what was NOT said ... And as to "body language", I find it fascinating as I find it very close to the TRUTH ...
The first time I saw Deb on tv I immediately thought of Susan Smith with the fake tears and all her "drama" ... And Deb did not come across as "sincere" or "genuine" at all IMO ... and Jeremy's initial reactions towards Deb also raised my radar -- he seemed so "distant" and "confused" about Deb !
Another one is Josh Powell ... the first time I saw him on tv being interviewed my radar went through the roof ! No emotion whatsoever about his wife Susan being "missing" ... nothing ... you could easily tell he was lying and was hiding "something" -- which we now know was he was hiding a LOT !!
And within days of Lisa going missing, Deb and Jeremy stopped talking to LE ! And that right there did it for me because NO ONE is going to stop cooperating with LE within a couple of days of their baby being kidnapped from their home in the middle of the night ... Also, I did NOT buy the "story" about a "stranger abduction" ... too many "convenient" "coincidences" ...
Then we find out about her "drinking" ... and DB and JI lawyered up with 2 defense attorneyS ... and the "PI" from New York ... and on and on ... Now, the only time you hear from Deb is when her defense attorney is there to "control" the interview as well as answer questions for her ...
It is so obvious that Deb is hiding the TRUTH ... and IMO, she is so easy to read because she comes across as "fake" and "phony" ...
Oh I almost forgot the jury ? IF I am ever selected to be on a jury, my decision would be based solely on the trial, evidence, testimony presented ... I used to work for insurance defense law firms so I understand and have respect for the judicial system ...
LOL ... I probably would NOT be selected for jury duty anyway ... they don't want "posters" or "bloggers" ...
I hope this helps ...
