That's a valid point. Do these parents have criminal histories that we know of? (you know me clu I'm never sarcastic, I really don't know if I ask :))

Very early on, there was a quote from LE that indicated neither parent had "serious criminal history" but it was never explained. I wish we knew what that meant.

I was not meaning to say they did have criminal history in this case; was just addressing reasons why an adult might try to yell "kidnapping" if a child died under their care. Or if one was intoxicated, or under the influence, or had run-ins with child services in the past, or custodial issues, none of which may apply here.

I don't post a lot anymore, but I will on this..IF this was an accident..the mother literally tripled her charges by hiding the body and lying..its a shame she did not say it was an accident from the start..if it was.....b/c now she has given herself more jail time and taken herself away from her other children longer than if she had just admitted it was an accident. The other children will pay a high price for her lyling! Caylee and Casey Anthony, of course (if you believe the defense's statements).

I once read a book about a mother who killed her baby girls because they really wanted all boys. She hid one behind a bush in the hills and the other in the freezer. Another case mom kept baby in a trunk in the attic. A girl around here kept a newborn in her closet in a bookbag.......

Not that I can find out about. They don't call me "Curiosity Cat" for nothing. Believe me, I have snooped...uh...sleuthed...:floorlaugh:

IMO the mom is guilty of something, and as the precious hours tick on I'm afraid it's the worst. I think it was premeditated, too, and although mom's tears are real, I think she's nervous, excited, scared. I don't have a solid theory on how this all happened, but my guess right now on why it happened is the mother's jealousy and thirst for attention. I'll have to wait for more evidence.

SyraKelly, I am not sure where you get this idea considering Casey Anthony got no time whatsoever for supposedly doing just that when her defense came up with such a scenario. She only got time for lying to police which was very minor.

Well the airline discussion did pique my interest.

If an Amber Alert is issued, is it issued as well to the regional airports too? Just curious.

That is because there wasn't really a charge for covering up a death or hiding a body in her case. IMO
If they had tacked on those types of charges, she might be in prison now, who knows...

I believe they didn't use those charges because the times for those type of charges are very minor and these type of charges are probably misdemeanors and not felonies. Frankly is somebody is able to hide a body well they might be better off, because what we consider an "accident" with a child could result in negligent homicide charges, whereas " no body, no crime."

I would like to think-a jury in KC would be a little smarter than the jury in FL..

I would like to think that a jury ANYWHERE would be a little smarter than the jury from FL.

Hinky meter is going off here... hope I'm wrong.

I think it was Jeff Ashton (my hero) who said "Parents don't make "accidents" look like murder." Since she was the mother of 3, she's no dummy when it comes to medicating her kids. I don't buy the accidental OD theory. Not sure which one (maybe both) but the only way to solve this mystery (aka murder) is through the parents.

Go to https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet and click on where it says litigants, you can then put in the parents names and see how many things come up. A lot do but which ones are them I dont really know.

I had to be careful with that, one came up with the same name as mom, however upon further investigation the woman is a 57 y.o. I thought I had something, but I was wrong.

I just can't help thinking that LE has to know by now who she texted or made the call to.............which she lied about because she went to bed at 10:30 and didn't wake till her husband came home and woke her up...... I do believe it was an accident like overdose of medicine. She may have given the baby Nyquil to help her sleep and Nyquil is definitely not for infants........speculating only.......
