LIST Questions and Answers #9 LIST ONLY

When JA was questioning CA on the stand, he was asking her about the smell in the car. She was trying to downplay her comment about the smell being the worst thing she had ever smelled by saying it was an odor. He then asked her again and her response was AT THAT TIME or UP TO THAT TIME it was the worst thing she had smelled. Does anyone know if she has qualified her answer like that before? Does that mean she has smelled something worse since then?

BBM- She'd like to make you think she has.

To my knowledge, Cindy has never qualified her answer that way. She has used other qualifiers like...I said it to get the police there quickly (in so many words)...but unless she's been hanging around decomposing bodies, she hasn't smelt anything quite like THAT since. Now if she's been fooling around concocting really stinky smells (NOT PIZZA!)...maybe she has something to compare the degree of stinkiness with. Doesn't negate the fact that once you've smelled a decomposing body you will never, ever, forget it. http://websleuths.com/forums/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=6289659

I know this has been asked, but since it is doubtful that casey' parents will give victim impact statements against their own daughter, who, if anyone, will be able to speak for Caylee, besides the state in closing? Can people who know Caylee speak for her, like Kristina or Jesse Grund? I don't know the rules for victim impact statements.

I have ask the same question in the very beginning of this case. Who will also make statements for Caylee when Casey goes before the parole board. Even if she is given a LWoP, she still will go before the parole board. I go every 3 years to keep my brothers killer in.

Does anyone know how to watch today's hearing on an iPad? Thank you for any help.

The only way that I am aware of is to use slingbox or something like that. Slingbox basically hooks up to your cable box, and then you can control/watch your tv from your ipad. Since most of the websites use flashplayer, I know you can't see them on ipad.

Thanks. I guess that means I can't watch when I'm not at home. I appreciate your help.

iswifter is a browser app for iPad that enables flash videos. I'm not sure if it's available for iPhone. I'm able to get cnn's live coverage on my iPad with this app. It's a little slow to start-up but so far no problems while viewing the hearing.

In Florida, victim's rights, including the right to give a victim impact statement, are covered by Art. I section 16(b) of the Fla. Const. as well as statutes beginning with Fla. Code 960.001.

As far as I can tell, the only people who would qualify in this case would be Caylee (no good :( ), Caylee's mom (um nogood also), the SA with the permission of Caylee or her mom (nope), Caylee's dad? (guess not), and maybe Caylee's grandparents depending on how broadly "next of kin of a homicide victim" is interpreted if the mom is the accused and the dad is MIA and presumed dead  (also no good unfortunately in this case). :banghead:

If the air sampling gets thrown out, does the chloroform go with it? Or was that just pertaining to the decomp gases?

I was wondering if one of you could tell me about the one movie that casey watched. Did one of those movies contain duct tape and someone in a trunk?? I know someone here knows if that is true.

So no one will be expressing how this impacted their lives and the loss of this precious child? This makes me cry.

Thanks, AZ. I had a feeling it was going to be something like that. Poor Caylee. Well, I know that the state will be a voice for her in closing and at the penalty phase so at least we have that.

I'll be watching the live feed of the trial as much as possible. So far during the hearings, I've used WESH and it's worked out well. Just wondering if it's possible to record the live feed for a day if I can't watch??? I can record InSession but they stop too early in the day. Wish they would extend their coverage day during the trial but I doubt that'll happen. Do you think someone will post the raw video at the end of each day?

WFTV has been posting the Frye Hearings as well as Motion Hearings and Status Hearings in full for quite some time and perhaps WFTV will continue doing the same throughout the trial.

Many WS members post the links to the hearings in the Today's News Thread.

My intentions are to also record the trial and upload it to my YouTube channel.

Wow, how tragic, thank you so much for saying this. Question, are those statutes and articles open to change? I mean, I've been thinking about these amended laws named after children, and what a good "Caylee's Law" would be. Would it be giving grandparents rights to take away a child from a useless mother (nah, too complicated), or what. But I wonder if changing/amending THIS, the victim impact statement rule, might be a good one. Caylee has had all of us standing up for her for all this time, and I for one would be very pleased to show up at a parole hearing in 10 years and speak for her to stop Casey from getting released early. I'm sure I'd have a multitude of people holding hands with each other to do the same. So, is it possible for Floridians to move to have this amended? If so, is it feasible, plausible, possible?

Something that has been bugging me is wondering where exactly was Caylee during the time period of June16th-24th or until her death? Did anyone ever figure that our or come to a conclusion or theory? TIA

We have 7 threads on "Theories On What Happended to Caylee". I just bumped the thread for reference and discussion.

For a mod:

I don't know where to ask this, so I will ask it here...

Since InSession is covering the case against ICA so much leading up to trial, do you think it would be a good idea to have a dedicated thread for general discussion about what they are discussing at that time? Sometimes it's just one quick blurb that we want to share what is said, but its difficult to know where to put it when there really isn't an existing thread dedicated to just that topic.

I searched for such a thread but could not find one. If you don't think this is a good idea, I understand.

TIA!

ETA: Maybe it could be a thread that isn't just about the blurbs from InSession, but a place to post what we hear from the local stations. Then if it deserves further discussion, that can be done on a dedicated thread. Does that make sense??? lol

Here is the InSessions thread for discussion.
