Ok so I need to throw this out here because it is bugging the carp out of me and it is regards to the carpet issue and perhaps this will need its own thread.
In this video: http://www.kansascity.com/2011/10/23/3225517/irwin-cases-frustrations-continue.html ( at about 1:30 in the video) with the attorney speaking of the search of the house and how LE never took any samples of the carpet from the bedroom, but that they took carpet from the garage (apparently the large roll seen being carried), Im not sure if they actually even took the big roll to be processed or not, but in this second video : http://abcnews.go.com/US/baby-lisa-irwin-surveillance-footage-mystery-man/story?id=14795844 at about 1:57 you have the attorney in the home giving the tour and you will notice that when she bends down pointing out the carpet still there that it has been recently replaced (at least to me).

If you take note of how she is able to put her fingers under the carpet and lift it as well as all the door casing and baseboard is missing from along the walls, one would be led to think that some recent remodeling was going on. Usally carpet is attached by carpet tack and held down by a binder bar of sorts when you have carpet meeting wood floor ar laminate in a doorway such as in the video. Someone doing there own remodeling could very well have not done this just due to being ignorant of how to do it right. I also notice the carpet hadn't been strectched to fit either.
I mean it could be nothing as LE could have removed it (baseboard, door casing) but because LE went for the carpet in the garage makes me think that this was new carpet in the bedroom and the old in the garage, thus why they did not remove any carpet from the parents bedroom.
Ugh I don't know, I am probably over analyzing the situation
I posed this... this morning on a different thread. other websleuthers were questioning why they wouldn't take the carpet with them then, why it wasn't listed on the search warrant. My theory that i posted is below.
I think i may have seen this posted, but not sure which thread (there are so many that relate to each other!) but the carpet that was in the shed, looks like a pretty big remnant....if it was a remnant. What if DB and/or JI removed the carpet at night. and put another in its place. The carpet in the shed could have been the carpet in the bedroom. It looks like a pretty small bedroom, not sure the square footage. The cutting of the carpet could have played into the "clicking sounds" that the boys heard. A utility knife, or scissors being used. I had thought a mopping noise could be the clicking sound, since that's the sound my mops make (speaking of clean houses...mine, not so much) but anyway. Could explain the lack of a door floor threshold. I know there is another name for that. Sounds like a very intricate covering up scheme, but an electrician is not an unintelligent individual. The fact that they said next to the bed makes it more plausible that it was something on the floor and probably carpet. Otherwise they would have reported that the dogs hit on an item in the house. Although i am not ruling that out.
I don't buy that LE was doing some sort of show and tell with the carpet being removed and brought back. They purposefully blocked media and planes overhead. I think these people were just doing their jobs.
