Local BAR says JB may have to step down

  • #121
The man is an idiot................I liked him handling the case. I do not think he could find his way out of the hen house ( not that he would want to) & I sure don't think he could win this case. I say let KC keep him.
As for me, he wouldn't handle the divorce of my goat & donkey.

Poor fella:boohoo::boohoo:

How terrible, your goat & donkey are divorcing? What is the world coming too? :(

Sure to be a NG Bombshell, if its true, lol. From the beginning, I felt that if Casey was indicted for murder, he would have to hire co-counsel with more experience. Never did I expect him to have to step down. This has me thinkin' that some senior members of the Florida Bar Association either were tipped off to his 'unprofessional' behavior, or actually got to see it for themselves.

Now, I've got a funny smirk on my face!

Perhaps MRS. JB contacted the bar association?

Amazing that Casey managed to find a lawyer that was
so much like herself.

We still don't know how JB is getting paid, do we? Or how Casey obtained his services in the first place. More to their connection than meets the eye? Running in similar circles before this case?--these are just my thoughts, not stating or trying to suggest any facts.

O - M - G! PLEASE don't give them any idea!

WOW! Great idea. If mom were playing lawyer we could sell tickets and donate the money to TES.

an honest lawyer?? do they exist?:waitasec:

There really are more than you think. Many of the honest ones abhor the actions of the dishonest ones. You don't hear about them much because they just do their job and go home to their families, but they are out there.

Many times they are the ones appointed as judges because they are known in the legal community for their honestly and ability.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to WS and I work as a paralegal in NYC. Although I work on the corporate side of the law, I am very fascinated with criminal law and take to heart any hurt that is done to little children.

I am totally consumed with this beautiful, adorable child that her cold hearted mother seemed to have "lost".

One question that seems to cause me to lose sleep is what if this KC requests a bench trial b/c of the fact that she is so hated in Orlando and a judge finds her not guilty?

I remember one night on NG, she was talking to the panel of attorney's and it was re: to if Baez knew anything about Caylee would he have to tell LE. The attorneys said "no" but would probably step down as lead attorney and get another attorney as lead

Good thinking, you have a great memory. I remember watching NG that night also, and wondered how much Baez actually knew about Caylee, and would he indeed step down? Do you suppose KC may have spilled the beans to Baez?

So far I have heard 5 different stories on how she got him which have been told.

One was she got the card off the wall at the jail, next an inmate (she was in solitary) gave her his number, next the first visitor to her got him for her,
next he came to the jail and had them give her his card, and finally the number one answer - she knew him before.

That is most likely best for everyone involved, I think he is smitten with KC and that can't be a good thing in a murder trial. He certainly hasn't been acting like he knows what he's doing either.

I have been very careful about saying this but there does seem to be some inappropriateness between them IMHO. The whole 6 hours a day every day seems excessive and odd to me.

She'll soon be making brownies for a new attorney. :shakehead:

I'll try to watch the 6 pm newscast and see if there are "more details". A reporter also interviewed CA and she said she would be there for KC to make sure she can hug her because it could be a long time before she gets to hug her again (if she goes back to jail). CA sounded very resolved that KC was going back to jail.

This station does stream it's newscasts http://www.myfoxorlando.com/myfox/

Poor Caylee has no one to hug her right now.....she needs a hug more that that poor excuse for a mother KC does...

I am not sure, but I don't believe she can in a capital case in Florida.

I also understand from this forum that Casey went to school with his daughter Christina.

I wonder if the daily hours long lawyer visits had anything to do with it??

Yes. An older lawyer with 4 kids, a bunch of grandbabies and who is solidly heterosexual!

An older lesbian lawyer with 4 kids, a bunch of grandbabies and who is solidly no-nonsense!
