With much of the Greek countryside short of women, growing numbers of Greek men are being forced to look for partners outside the country.
Desperate to find a bride and frustrated by the lack of available women in their home villages, men across the Peloponnese have begun boarding buses to countries that might solve their problem.
Some 40 Greek males from a village in the region of Zacharo will take what they describe as a love bus to the Ukraine in the hope of finding women who will marry them.
The trip follows a pledge by the local mayor to end their plight.
If lucky, the Greeks will wed the women in on-the-spot ceremonies in the Ukraine.
