I've just returned here to WS's after spending a little time on the "Jodi Is Innocent" web site. I had to check it out. :facepalm:

Loaded with irony beginning with the page name, which incidentally is slashed repeatedly across the home page so followers can remember their battle cry without overworking their brains (hey, they’re tired trying to convince themselves she’s innocent), it is a pretty funny spoof site where they offer such profound advice as "stay positive" while they name-call and bash anyone who is not willing to suspend basic level intelligence so as to believe their killer queen's fairy tales.

I find it downright hilarious these nut jobs proclaim themselves "We Are Team Jodi". I'm sure their cold-blooded leader, as she rests her head upon her jail pillow every night, gives thanks for such staunch and vocal, if not overly intelligent, supporters. Riiiight… The thing is a complete narcissist. Do these zombie-bots really believe Jodi Arias spares one second of thought for them? Except maybe, possibly only insofar as she can determine what she can get out of them.

I can only posit that these people are willfully obtuse, and it probably extends to every facet of their life. The earth is flat, we didn’t really land on the moon, and Ringo was really the Walrus. It does take a special kind of stupid to turn a blind eye to all the lies she told, the facts in evidence, and the oh-so-many convenient coincidences cooked up by the killer and her defense.

If I was them and this creature is released…I wouldn’t turn my back on her…supporter or not.

ETA: Detective Flores told Jodi that the root bulb at the end of a strand of hair dries up and falls off in a few days so she couldn't use being in the house the previous month as a credible excuse.

I read those court papers, did Jodi herself write it? It looked like she was blackmailing Juan by saying she would smear Travis' name and hurt his family and friends, if Juan wouldn't give her what she wanted. The "pedophile confession letters"...found to be forgeries were mentioned, I think. Concerning the root bulb on the hair, it would also be bleached blond instead of freshly dyed brown. Jodi already gave her dye job away to Flores in interview when he bluffed and told her the neighbors seen her...she told him, she used to be blond...didn't see how they would recognize her or something like that and mentioned the rental.

It sounds like Jodi is used to demanding what she wanted all her life (bless the people who said no to her), she still seems to be doing that to a point. Jodi is showing all her "tells" when Wilmont (sp?) is up cross-examining.

How long do you expect the jury to deliberate the verdict and the sentence of JA?

From a minimum of three hours to a maximum of two days is my guess.

I think that deciding on Jodi's guilt is, in one sense, a slam-dunk decision, but if they came back after 10 minutes (exaggeration) that might be grounds for an appeal (the jury did not carefully weigh the defense info). With the death penalty a possibility, I am sure they want to look at even the obvious information closely.

If I were on that jury, I would want to discuss each bit of evidence and make sure there was unanimous agreement on each point supporting the prosecuter's case, not gloss over stuff that seems "too obvious to discuss".

For example, I think Jodi lied about every detail of her trip, but I would want to talk about the three gas cans, the lack proof of returning one can to Wal-Mart, the license plate story, dyeing her hair, etc and not simply say "she's a liar, let's vote". I think that careful deliberations are owed to the state, to Travis' family, and, yes, even to Jodi.

After this much time, trying to rush deliberations seems foolish to me and I think they will take their time. My best dart-throwing guess would be 12 hours.

FWIW, I am sure the jury will come back with a guilty verdict.

During more than two weeks of dramatic testimony, family members, Jeffrey Wright's ex-girlfriends, and neighbors of the Wrights squarely divided over whether the 34-year-old victim was a loving family man or a violent, cocaine-fueled abuser.

A medical examiner testified he was able to count 193 wounds on the body, with the actual number of stab wounds well in excess of that. Defense attorneys claim Wright killed in the heat of passion after years of beatings and rapes.

Prosecutors argued Wright was tired of married life, and angry at her husband's drug use and frequent late nights out. "This was not a battered woman -- this was divorce by homicide," said Assistant District Attorney John Jordan during his closing argument on Monday. He asked jurors to sentence Wright to no less than 45 years behind bars.

Among the witnesses not called in the 2004 trial was psychologist Jerome Brown, who interviewed Wright days after the killing. Brown diagnosed Wright with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, and told jurors last week she was in a "dissociative state" while attempting an elaborate cleanup after the killing.

Brown also testified that Wright told him her husband was asleep when she retrieved a knife from their kitchen and began to stab him. This differs from Wright's tearful testimony at her original trial, when she said she killed her husband in self-defense after he stood over her with the knife and said "Die, *****!"

They're not genuine, but I don't think it's a full parody either. The original Casey Is Innocent site by the same people had an image of 'Casey' in the banner which was actually a image never proven to be Casey. So it makes you wonder, I think they're just using these sites once a case gets high publicity for fun, or for revenue.

The posters on there are probably genuine supporters though.

I'm sure they will consider all the evidence. They have already scrutinized it far more carefully than I probably would have. When asked to submit my question to Jodi or this Psycho Dr, I would have said "I don't have any, neither one is capable of telling me the truth".

My ex-mother-in-law never wanted a block with knives sitting on her kitchen counter. She said she was always afraid that if someone broke into the house that they would use one of the knives from the block to stab her.

btw...order some "Bear Spray"...it is pepper spray that is made to use on bears when in the woods. Hubby got me some and it is as big as a bottle of hair spray!

A can of wasp spray will work just as well, and has a nice long range on it

I have noticed that in some of the taped interviews and programs Jodi often refers to Travis in the present tense? As if he were still alive and with us (or her)?

I watched some clips of the IE and 48 hours interviews she did and caught this a couple times, sorry I don't have her exact words.
