To Travis Alexander and his family, Jodi Arias is the worst murderer that ever walked the face of the Earth.

In my experience of the sister of a murder victim, typically we aren't sitting around with each other comparing which murder is worse. We are just bonding in the fact that it's as horrible as it could be for each and every one of us. But that's the view from the inside, fwiw.

I hate how defense attorneys usually try to make the defendant into the victim and try to portray the true victim as the criminal. It's very hard to sit in a court room and listen to a defense attorney telling things you know are untrue about your loved one. And then you are instructed not to show any emotions or you will be removed from the court room. They want to make sure the criminal gets a fair trial. What about the victim?

I'm not worried about her and she is a stenographer (not literally, in this trial I mean). She has been the most prolific note taker of the bunch. But Housewife (Juror 3) is a close second. I'm more concerned about "Maureen" on the back, but not really concerned. Just in comparison.

By any chance did you follow the first Phil Spector trial? An engineer was the jury foreman and he was a non-stop note taker. Filled books and books and didn't miss a thing.

He convinced one other juror to vote his way: Not Guilty.

Murder is never the answer. If someone is unhappy about my post about this being the most horrific murder that I paid attention to in my lifetime, it is - We all have our own memories (with fog or not). Jodi is a psychopath murderer and our society must not accept it EVER. She deserves the death penalty and there is nothing I can do about those of you that don't believe in dp. If she had done this in Utah, well.....

There have been hundreds of thousands of guilty verdicts that have come in before, around and after those NG's. I'm not worried about this jury, this verdict, or this sentence.

My feeling of certainty outweighs any PTSD from any past trials. And if you're counting, may as well consider OJ the first then you've got your 3. Done! :seeya:

I sure havent heard of any recent cases where a victim was stabbed 29 times. That falls into a not so normal run of the mill murder to me.

I think it's the unthinkable, unimaginable level of extremely bloody violence by one person inflicted upon another.

Of course all murders are terrible. Mass murders are worse due to their numbers. But what makes this type of murder so horrifying and unthinkable, is that it has a different story to tell, a story about an evil doer beyond our wildest imaginations. The story about a monster from our worst nightmare.

Preachin to the choir there...my sister's name was barely mentioned in our last "mini trial" resulting in a reversal of the DP sentence to L with parole. In fact the judge ordered the CRIME could not even be considered in that hearing, in determining the sentence for the commission of that crime.

I don't believe in the death penalty for overall use, but I do think some :censored: should be put to death. She's one of 'em.

I don't know if this has been discussed but since Jodi had agreed, or more than likely IMO suggested, that she and Travis act out their sexual fantasies, it makes sense that this intense murder may have been a fantasy of hers that she carried out, and still is. She is everything she always wanted to be. A well known painter, photographer, winning awards, giving interviews, and most know who she is. I know it sounds weird, but she is and has been so bizarro that this fits, right down to the premeditation. I wonder if all the "debasing" allowances was part of her grooming him for her ultimate fantasy.

There is a level here of evil I've not seen in any trial that is hard to define...some kind of combination of religiosity, an "innocent" (even though reportedly odd) looking face, walking quietly amongst us and the level of premeditation, violence and imo, enjoyment of the infliction of pain upon others. It's just way disturbing, to me.

You are right about that. I think most people don't really even realize that it's not like the TV shows where the prosecutor or detective shares information with the family. You are not told anything because they want to protect the case for trial. So, if you don't get to be at the trial then you won't get to find out what happened to your loved one.

Some prosecutor's offices are better than others. Our prosecutor tried to keep us out of the court room completely, but we got an attorney. Can you believe that, we had to get an attorney and I never even got to see the autopsy report until 1 week before trial. So, I really had no idea what injuries occurred other than it was a shooting.
