I didn't realize you were the authority on what was Christmasy. What Dobbs says is inline with my feelings not only about political correctness during the holiday season, but the whole year around.

Obviously you picked out the parts of the article you disliked and ignored the part where he balanced it off encouraging non-Christians to go ahead and enjoy their holiday without worrying about offending others.

You, Nova, and others who are sensitive about this kind of thing are overly obnoxious. You know why people are a little nicer around Christmas? Because they are (hopefully) receiving presents and getting time off of work, not because they genuinely like one another. Stop pretending.

"Political correctness" is a term invented and employed by those who find it too much trouble to think about the consequences of their words and actions. It's basically lazy shorthand.

Articles like Mr. Dobbs' late attempt to climb on a bandwagon driven by those with better ratings over at Fox are cynical attempts to manipulate the emotions of those preoccupied with petty, imaginary grievances.

As for Christmas trees at SeaTac, EVERYONE here has agreed they are secular symbols and should remain. If one person chose to test the definition of secular, well, that's how we do it in America.

I thought it had something to do with "Peace on Earth" and "Goodwill to Men." Silly me. I should have known it was more selfish than that.

If and when Jesus comes again, I hope He sues.

The general mean spiritedness perpetrated in His name is surely libelous.

Yes, Sea Tac should keep its Christmas trees. But Lou Dobbs and the rest of you who feel compelled to gloat over this should be ashamed.
He is not coming back, noone is coming to save us, it is up to us to save ourselves.

I don't know, but I certainly won't blame Him if He doesn't.

Overly sensitive because I'm a Jew who doesn't like Christmas shoved in my face???? How is that politically correct? I prefer to pick and chose my own traditions. And Yes, I found what you quoted of Lou Dobbs article obnoxious!

I applaud the "Reindeer Rule!" Christmas, after all, IS a federal holiday.

Please, let's don't even get into how that can possibly be legal.

It was sung acapella kind of like a Harlem barbershop quartet with a very deep bass and five part harmony--Sure got me in the spirit!

"Last Month Of The Year"

Tell me when was Jesus born

Last month of the year

Tell me when was Jesus born

Last month of the year

Tell me when was Jesus born

Last month of the year

Yeah, wasn't January, February, March, April or May

June, July, August, September, October, November

Was the 25th day of December

Was the last month of the year etc etc.. you just have to imagine this sung with lots of energy in five part harmony spiritual style--Great! And I am not even a Jesus gal!

Wy is it the same people post the same aruguments on every freakin possible thread they can. Put a fork in it because it is done. Everyone else knows what all your opinions are on this topic and are sick to death of hearing them over and over and over and over again on every freakin thread. We dont have a Religion Forum for this very reason. I decided to relax the past rule but ya'll have abused the hell out of it so this topic is NOW CLOSED!
