The only thing they know is that she went to a party and didn't come back. Where was the party and with who did she stay? No wonder this one is unsolved.

Yesterday marked the 23rd anniversary of 22-year-old Lovace Renee Simmons disappearance from Chicago, Illinois. Lovace was last seen leaving a holiday party at her boyfriend's home on Sunday, December 27th, 1998; she had reportedly mentioned going straight home but it is not clear how she was getting there or if she ever made it.

This Jane Doe was found a few hours away. Yes it is a 4 hour drive from Chicago, but many folks have been found much farther away. Read the circumstances for the Jane Doe below:

The Illinois Department of Transportation employees were working along I64 at mile post 22. They discovered human remains on the side of the highway. The skeleton was partially dressed in a black velour sleeveless "catsuit" garment with full legs.

​The mystery surrounding the disappearance of Lovace Simmons continues to stump investigators. Few details have been made publicly available, but as I’ve done before, I’ve pulled together as much information as possible.

Two days after Christmas on Sunday, December 27, 1998, it’s reported that 22-year-old Lovace Simmons celebrated the holiday season by spending time with her boyfriend. She attended a party held at his Chicago, Illinois home, and was seen by partygoers leaving the residence. Lovace reportedly stated that she was going straight home. However, her employer raised an alarm after Lovace didn’t report to work the following day on Monday.
Lovace Simmons has never been seen or heard from again.

At the time of her disappearance, Lovace was described as being 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and 135 to 145 pounds. She had dark brown hair and brown eyes. She reportedly has a pea-sized birthmark on her chin. Her mode of transportation or the clothing she was last seen wearing hasn’t been shared.
