LP admitted he was wrong about his theory of it being an accident and he also admitted he was wrong about his theory on the 24th being the date she moved the body on NG tonight. Takes a big man to admit when they are wrong on national tv, imo. Not something we see too often with talking heads or with "blowhards".

I admire him for it. You could tell he was more reserved and contemplative tonight, too...at least...I could tell.

I liked that he admitted he was WRONG about those theories.

I simply wish that he would not say, "LOOK, THIS is how it happened..." and instead use the words, "I think" or "I'm assuming" or "it's my opinion". He states things as "fact" when they aren't necessarily so.

I hope I did this right. Mydailyopinions posted her comment on the Caylee Funeral thread and I answered there. I brought it over here because I think it deserves to be posted here on the LP Confidence thread too. I posted my opinion under the Original post, so I don't need to say any more:

What an excellent post! CA has said she does not want LP at the memorial, and whether we agree with what she says, or even whether she has a right to 'bar' someone from a public memorial, she has made her opinion known. Now it is all up to LP, isn't it? He can show up and try to get in, knowing that the cameras will be trained on him because everyone knows the Anthonys don't want him there. If he does that, the ensuing circus will pull the focus away from Caylee yet again. He will have tons of air time when he responds to his being asked to leave, etc. Everyone will jump in with how they feel about this and this forum will be difficult to get onto because we will ALL be voicing our opinions. That is one scenario.

The other scenario is that LP stays away from this memorial so the spotlight is on Caylee and only Caylee. The thousands of people who have taken this little girl into their hearts can either go or watch it on TV (if it is televised) and there will be no controversy - just a sad good bye to Caylee who captured our hearts back in July.

I agree with the OP, this will be a true test of LP and his reasons for still be in and around this case. I will be most interested to see which path LP chooses.

♣ LP knew that whatever was purchased at JC PENNY was to REPLACE something else that might have been lost while disposing of Caylee...we do not know the end of this one YET, but we DO know that receipt was with-held by Cindy and there had to be a REASON for it. LP KNOWS...we do not.

♣ We still do not know what was purchased at JCPenney. LP said it was 2 crosses, now it's something to replace something?


♣ LP knew about the chloroform and many other things before any of us knew and he told us in advance that as details began to emerge we would be SHOCKED! I do not know about ya'll, but I have had the pants shocked off of me on a regular basis since then.

♣ Word of chloroform being found in the car hit the news on Sept. 3rd, prior to LP mentioning it on NG. Actually, he didn't even bring it up, Nancy did.
LP said ONLY that we would be shocked by results of the DNA testing. So far we haven't been.

♣ Nobody brings any kind of legal action against LP even though he has said some OUTLANDISH things...why is that? Because he is "swatting the hive" so to speak, and INVITING someone to bring legal action so he will have the right to DEPOSE. He WANTS someone to sue him as far as I can tell and then he will get the sweet nectar of deposing them to the nines. Nobody bites.

♣ I think people have other things on their minds right now, what with a daughter charged with murder and a missing and then confirmed dead baby.

♣ LP told us the Anthony's refused lie detectors (all of them) and that LEE was instrumental in convincing them all NOT to do poly's.

♣ We know that the A's did not take poly's, there is no proof that Lee talked them out of doing so.

Very little if anything that LP told us was not released by other sources first. Most of what he came up with on his own has been proven wrong, contradictory, or not proven at all. I just don't get the LP worship.

Great post Chilly & all very true....

LP has said so much that has been proven untrue thats it's hard to believe anything he says.

Thats not to say that he hasn't been "RIGHT" about something from time to time but when you take all of his statements and weigh them against the Truth as we know it he seems to have been "Just Guessing" & "Speculating" like the rest of us.....

There's nothing wrong with "speculating" but he's portrayed as an "Insider" with "Exclusive" information & he uually put's his information out there as "Fact"

PADILLA: It covered -- no, no, it covered -- it was wrapped around the mouth and the head, hard enough to where it is still there with a lot of soft tissue under it and hair under it. And I believe that the tape was placed there post-mortem on the 18th, not on the 16th when she died, and it was there to insinuate some type of a kidnapping.

The other thing you`re going to hear is that that area back there is where the kids in the neighborhood, Casey and other children, used to bury their pets, parakeets, birds, when they died. Also, if you remember the song that she played constantly when she got out of jail, the song with "Under the Water" and things of that nature.

PADILLA: . that area was under water. It started raining on the 24th of June. By the time she got out of jail, it was three foot under water where the body was. So there`s no doubt in my mind that there`s a lot of preservation took place because the body was under water up until about a week, 10 days ago.

I knew he worked in Law Enforcement but I dodn't know GA was a Homicide Detective.

PADILLA: George was a homicide detective for 10 years in Warren, Ohio. He knows what the smell of a decomposing body is. Cindy`s been a nurse for years and years, and she knows what a decomposing body smells like. And Cindy`s the one that posted on July the 3rd, My Caylee is gone.

Good post ........... Hummmm .... I only worship to those in church and LP ain't sitting there in the pew with me.

I admire the guy; his good-ol-boy ways, admitting his theories aren't always right, not backing down to his distractors, for attempting to somehow deal with people who lie with each breath they take, for taking up for those who can't, for getting the bad guys back in custody where they belong and for just being LP.

I am beginning to feel those who consistently berate him are simply jealous. It is much easier to be nasty than give a compliment, sad.

George was a cop in Ohio. I don't recall if he was a homicide detective or how long he worked there. I believe it was ten years AGO and not that he was one for ten years tho, IIRC.

So...those statements were wishful thinking on his part. I think that someone told him this could happen if the water perhaps had somehow "preserved" the body. As it turned out, it was not possible.

Are you going to drag your entire other thread over here for me to battle or what?! I watch NG every night. As a matter of fact, I have them on DVR so I can go back to watch the faces, the interactions, and the way these things were said at the time. Transcripts don't allow for that. It is rather like text messages or here...you don't get the same "inflection" you do as when you see it with facial expressions etc.
