We are hoping for clear skies, which given the season we are in might not happen.

We checked and the eclipse should be total at about 4:10am (our time zone).

Keep your fingers crossed for us! :)

This is where my insomnia pays off, since I can't sleep I get to see a lunar eclipse, a few meteor showers and even caught the shuttle flying by. It really makes it worth it to catch some of these natural phenomenons once in a while.

It rained all evening. Then the clouds cleared, it's 3:57 AM here right now and the Moon is 9/10ths eclipsed. It's beautiful, high in the night sky.

I was outside, freezing, for a couple of hours ... still going through the images ...

I"m glad I got to share the eclipse with my 18 yr old son. Hopefully when I'm older and grayer he'll still remember us standing outside in Hawaii looking up at the sky watching the eclipse and talking about stars. One can hope.
