It depends on who you talk to. Some think it was premeditated to kill both boys, some think it was a last minute decision, some think Darin was involved, some don't think he was involved, some think she "flipped" out on one boy and did the whole "intruder" thing to cover up and some believe she is innocent all together. Just look at the evidence...it's all there. Like I have said before, it is very hard for us to believe that a mother could kill her own children (especially in such a brutal way) and therefore, that is way I think so many people have such different opinions as to what happened.

It does, i know i sound like an idiot when i talk about this case, one minute i believe her the next i want to scream shes guilty!!

Well it wasn't Darlie, which is what she wants you to believe. Its also what MUST be believed if they want us to believe the "intruder(s)" theory. Take out the strongest person first, right?

I never understood why she wasnt butchered and the kids were, even though i have been a fence sitter, it just doesnt add up. Why not take her out, what threat would the kids be, and why leave expensive stuff on the counter you could steal Arghhhhh, all these questions!

Simple answer Michelle . . . because she was the one holding the knife and she didn't have the guts to butcher herself.

Yea that seems to be true, but what about darin, if he was in on it, he could have sliced her a bit to make it more believable.

Got me to thinking about something like the kids setting her off. What if it was just one of the kids and the other woke up and had to be eliminated as a witness. More rage with Devon less with Damon. Maybe there wasn't a plan until after one was dead.

Yeah I think this is Goody's theory as well. Remember when Darin said Devon look "old" when he was performing cpr. I can't shake that "damon, damon, damon" on the 911 call. Beesy and I think that might have been when Damon was stabbed fatally. She is hissing his name to Darin, she sounds totally pissed off with him--Damon I mean.

Darlie killed Devon because he enraged her. After it was over and she was surrounded by the carnage, knowing that things would never go back to "normal," she "sacrificed" Damon because there was no plausible explanation as to why Devon would be dead and Damon would be alive.

This is the MacDonald theory tailored to the Routier case.

And both of them MacDonald and Routier were ingesting diet pills in the weeks prior to the murders. The diet pills factor big time in both these crimes, imo. These cases are so similar it's uncanny. Jongalt did a comparison of both crimes.

Yeah..but what about the friend/neighbor of theirs that heard Darin telling her that she was a gross fat pig? I am beginning to change my opinion about just exactly how much Darin did worship her! He also didn't show up at that hearing. Also, remember that little tiff that was overheard in the jail where Darlie tells Darin that SHE KNOWS he is seeing someone else, but that is just fine because she is also? She put some other ex prisoner on her visit list. Also, remember that time that he did cheat on Darlie fairly soon after they got married? I used to think he WORSHIPED her too...until I started putting together all the stuff that happened over the course of time.

Cami...I can't either. She was almost HISSING! Yes!!! For me, that part of the call was VERY telling.:doh:

Nothing like that was listed on the autopsy reports.

So lets say that darin didnt really worship darlie like maybe some of us thought he did, do you all still think he would cover up for her in these murders of his kids? I dont think he would, I do think he would IF he still worshiped the ground she walked on.
