You have to be careful about accusing Hornsby of something you shouldn't. Here's what he wrote...

RH is making no claims to the factuality of anything here. He's basically telling you what his friend told him. For all we know, Kronk was lying when he bragged about selling the tool on eBay. Maybe the HS friend is lying to RH.

I'm not prepared to accuse anybody of anything yet. I just thought it was unusual to sell a OC meter reader tool on eBay. I'm sure we'll hear more and maybe RH needs to ask more questions of the HS friend. But yes, there ought to still be record of the completed sale (even if not successful) on eBay. But you kinda have to know the right search words to go looking for it.[/QUOTE]

BBM - with all due respect - seriously, who cares! What has this got to do with the case?

Hot Dogs, I love you! But I'm not sure which of the two of us is more naive. Is it me because I love your defense of RH so much or is it you because you don't think this is how rumors start?

You are too neat! In the meantime, I will await the bill of sale for the stick/rod/tool/prodder/poker.

Don't we treat all hearsay tales as rumor for the parking lot unless we have an independent link or source to substantiate it? WS is becoming too liberal for certain celeb and high profile posters. IMHO.

Cyberborg,

I do not consider Mr. Hornsby a celeb or a high profile poster. Mr. Hornsby is someone who has information of intrest to many of us on the forum.

We do allow a bit of leeway about the links only because he is an officer of the court and if he posts something here that turns out to be not true it will bite him in the behind.

There is no way I want this moved to the private area. This is an interesting thread and am I glad Mr. Hornsby is here.

It is also important to note that as posted earler, this thread was not going to be moderated heavily. Plenty of leeway has been afforded to every poster.

Well h*77 we're all guilty of something! Come on now...don't be coy...spit it out. If not 1st Degree Murder then what?

Well, if you're calling for confessions I guess I'll have to fess up. A couple years ago I walked in while my son-in-law was going to the bathroom. Not sure whose eyes were largest and whose faces redder. (How many ways could that story be told?) Hope I never find a body! :blushing: :D

During his three interviews the first one on Dec. 11, 2008, he stated that he saw a round dome in a bag. No water now. He hit it and it made a thud sound. He then pulled on the bottom of the closed bag with his meter stick and the second time he pulled on the bag a human skull dropped out with hair and duct tape on it.

On 12/11 LE took the meter stick into their possession.
On Dec. 17, 2008, LE went to RK house and RK stated that he yanked at the bottom edge of the bag with his meter stick and the second time he yanked a skull rolled out. Thought it might be a Halloween mask. He lifted it up a little bit with his meter stick and saw the tape. He called Alex to say he had found a human skull.

He recants that back in August he saw a black bag near a tree that had fallen over. The bag didn't look right. The bag was 4 to 10 feet FROM the water's edge.

He recants his story that he grabbed the bottom of the bag with his stick and an object rolled out. It looked to have male pattern baldness. Then he says the skull never rolled out of the bag but that he saw something white and fluffy in the bag.

On Jan. 6, 2009, he stated that the skull and bag had been 4 to 6 feet IN the water back in August. He saw something white that was protruding out of the water in August. LE asks him if it was submerged and he agrees.

You can listen to the three interviews on audio by going to the Official Documents Thread to Post No. 131, dated 4/6/09.

During his interview with LE on December 17, 2008, RK stated that he used to be a Bail Bondsman.

Ohhhkay, Woe! Thanks because someone on the other thread is saying he has a friend who says he knows Kronk put the "meter stick" up for sale on ebay. Can you please, please give me a link and page number?

It's the Official Documents thread, Post 131, dated 4/6/09.

During LE's audio interview dated December 11, 2008, they question him about his meter stick that he used to pull the bottom of the bag with. RK says it is laying in back of his truck bed. LE asks is it open - can they just take it? RK exclaimed "You can't take my work stick." LE says that they will give it back to him or you can have it back. RK has no choice at that point because LE was going to take it right then and there out of the back of his truck. I remember seeing it listed on the OSCO evidence sheet a long time ago too.

I have not seen the results of any test regarding this meter stick and I don't know if it was ever returned to RK like LE commented it would be.

The Dec. 11 interview is about 10 minutes long I think and there isn't a minute bar.

I would think that the meter stick would be the property of the City. If LE has returned it by now, it doesn't belong to RK personally. That sounds wrong - about it being sold on ebay but who knows? Any way to profit over Caylee's death seems to be fair game to some people. Spit.

I have jumped ahead several pages, so forgive me if this has been posted already.

Andrea Lyons is an Associate Professor of Law at DePaul University in Chicago. Link: http://www.depaul.edu/academics/our_faculty/lyon.asp

DePaul University is a private Catholic university with corresponding core values and mission statement as seen here: http://www.depaul.edu/about/mission/index.asp

Therefore, how can her campus board condone such vile commentary? It appears to fly in the face of Catholic core values - what about the Ten Commandments? I would have some extremely serious issues if I were a parent writing checks to this university.

Well, its being challenged that it's true or just rumor (which would add to Kronk's mounting problems). That's why it was so coincidental that you posted an item about it tonight. Thank you, Woe ~ Even though we have different views I so respect you for always being right on top of all of the facts. You are (as we used to say in my day) neat!!!!!

I will give the little snert his due -- he seems to be smart as a whip and not scared of the devil himself, and he keeps coming back. Very much like the average websleuth poster.

I might be influenced because he is very much like my divorce lawyer -- young and sharklike, at a time, when I was in desperate straits -- my (now ex-) had been sentenced to 15 years in prison for abusing my daughter (I put him there), but he was *still* coming after me. After our property (land other than the land my house sits on -- directly across the street) and my retirement. Because his father had given us the land, generally the property would go to my husband who was smart enough to say, "I will promise I will never reside there." If had gotten the land, he would have deeded it to *his* family, and the grandparents who had chosen to call their granddaughter a liar when she said her father raped her would have been living directly across the street from us. I would have to have moved. I would have had to relocate my daughter, who was 16, and trying her damndest to recover.

I needed a shark lawyer. I got one. I got everything. We were safe. We could go on and continue to recover.

I'm not saying this for self-pity, but simply to make the point that if I have to go to court, I want a shark.

He's been arguing the ethics of releasing the tape. He has not argued the morality of the tape itself. I'm not willing to compare him with Lyons. For one thing, he's much prettier.

I very much hope he stays. He'd be an incredible resource during the actual trial.

I am, however, somewhat disappointed. He is cheating on us and posting in the insession boards. In fact, he posted there first. I thought we were his only ones. <sniff>

Blaise

Wow that was kinda...creepy...I happen to disagree though. He hasn't provided anything really insightful or useful. It would be better for us to keep some dignity and not get starstruck just because a person is tangentially connected to a part of the case. moo

Here is how jury selection works. The jurors first fill out questionnaires that the lawyers get to review, then the judge asks preliminary questions, the state asks their questions, and then the defense asks questions.

A major topic is going to be who heard pretrial publicity. So while Potential Juror 1 may not have heard the tapes, Potential Juror 2 may have and will then say "well I heard she said this about jurors, and I think she is a witch." Suddenly PJ1, who had no position agrees with PJ2 and asserts his agreement when asked if anyone else agrees with PJ2.

Now both jurors would be stricken for cause, as they would have exhibited a bias against the defense team.

Now once this will likely become a heated topic, and suddenly PJ5, PJ7, PJ14, etc all express the same bias - and they all too are excluded.

Now the State is left with PJ3, PJ4, PJ6, PJ9, PJ9, etc who all said they understood the context of what was said and why it was said and they stay in the jury pool because they have not expressed a bias against the defense, nor by saying they understand the context of the statements are the expressing a sympathy for the defense that the State could use to strike them for cause.

So basically, once this questioning is done. All of the shoot now, sort 'em out later people are off the jury and you are left with more level headed people.

Now, once the jury is seated with a pro-defense jury, the statements will never be discussed again.

Also, the entire audio of her speech would not be played for any reason, even during jury selection. Rather, the only exposure during jury selection would be what people remember hearing.

Bold mine.

Correct me if I am wrong, but are you insinuating that the more level headed jurors are pro-defense?

IMO, level headed jurors will have no trouble finding KC guilty. Personally, I'd prefer she get the death penalty, but will accept LWOP. As long as her murderous self remains locked away forever, I'm happy.

oooops... thats a shame NOT

i dont know how to record something from youtube,,, but i know people have been inclined to hook up a video camera and put it on their desk and then HIT the record button on their handy dandy camera....heheheheehehhh

it works just fine ( so i have been told ):angel::angel::angel::angel:

ohhh sure it looks a little bush league but it sure does make sure you have a copyof something that you KNOW will disappear

lallaaall llaaaall lllaaaaalllllaaaallllllllll

Robotdog,

(I'm replying to your post on page 10 of this thread).

To record videoclips from Youtube, you need a media player that will allow you to record. I use RealPlayer, the free version from RealNetworks, the website is:

http://www.real.com/realplayer

What I like is that I can record more than one videoclip at a time and I do not have to watch a whole videoclip in real time while I'm recording it since the RealPlayer has a Download and Record Manager built in.

I hope that helps!

Mr. Hornsby, respectfully, let's just say that BS DID give those audios of Lyon to Kathy B. You say that Shaeffer is the one who will have caused a problem seating a pro-pros. jury....

I say if a certain envious attorney hadn't made such a stink, huge shink about it, there wouldn't be such a difficulty with seating a jury. IMO, you have played an equal role in this.

Nope, the next person I want to blog about being clueless is "Judge" Karen Mills-Francis. She blew me away by her lack of legal knowledge. But considering the flack I got about WJS, I bit my tongue....

WOW! You've really got a "bee in your bonnet"!

I see her as guilty of something, I am just not sure of what; and I am definitely not convinced of First Degree Murder.

Well, my advice is to sit back, relax, and wait....we are a long way from the trial, and there's lots more discovery to come. You may change your mind.

What have they really done to him except talk to his ex-wives and son? They talked to people he knows... Am I missing something.

Now if you are implying Jose Baez got them to lie for him, okay show me some proof. Or better yet, I will wait to see if the State deposes these people (if you think I am a smart 🤬🤬🤬, Jeff Ashton will tear them apart of they are transparent as they seem).

Oh, I don't doubt that!

To be honest...it comes out sounding like a bunch of school girl gossip.

Yeah...kinda like RH's blog regarding Bill Shaeffer. Disappointing to say the least. :(

Something tells me her name brings money to the school so they may be willing to turn a blind eye when it comes to her own personal beliefs. Does it make sense in today's day and age...when a whole lot less gets educators kicked out of schools? Not to me.
