The Worcester Police Department is requesting your assistance in locating a baby who was taken without permission. The child is a four day old Hispanic female and missing from the Southbridge/Cambridge St area. The baby was last seen around 9:30 AM, and is wearing a green shirt, floral pants with a butterfly on the back, white hat with a bow, pink mittens and blue shoes.

She may be with a 19-year-old Hispanic female, pictured below. This female is NOT a family member and does NOT have permission to have the baby.

This female was last seen wearing glasses, a tie dyed shirt with POLO written across it, white shorts and rainbow shoes. If you have information about the location of the child or this female, please call 911 immediately.

Police say the girl was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Southbridge/Cambridge Street area. She was wearing a green shirt, floral plants with a butterfly on the back, a white hat with a bow, pink mittens and blue shoes.

Police say she may be with a 19-year-old Hispanic female who was last seen wearing glasses, a tie-dyed shirt with POLO written across it, white shorts and rainbow shoes.

Kassidy Lauziere-Cuevas, 19, and her alleged accomplice Daquan Jefferson, 23, were arrested at another restaurant a short distance away.

Both suspects are each charged with kidnapping and reckless endangerment of a child.

A summary of that article is this:

1. The female kidnapper had lied to family, boyfriend and friends that she had given birth to a baby but it was in DCF custody.
2. The female kidnapper has been preliminarily evaluated by a psychologist, who testified that she suffers from hallucinations and is a danger to others, in his opinion. Further evaluation was ordered by the judge.
3. The female kidnapper had groomed the victim on Facebook for months (it was a "long con" essentially; she pretended to be a mother herself)
4. When the kidnapper showed up with a baby, she told her boyfriend that it was his, he initially believed her, and he changed his Facebook profile photo to one of the kidnapped child right then and there.
5. Police quickly figured out the identity of the female kidnapper and enlisted her family members to try to track her down.
6. At some point the male party realized that all was not kosher and they then left the baby with patrons at a Subway restaurant. He told police that they went to a nearby Wendy's to watch and make sure police came to get the baby.
7. The male kidnapper's attorney argued that he shouldn't be held without bail because he wasn't party to the planning of it and had been lied to; however, prosecutors say his past has enough bad stuff in it that he deserves to stay in prison for now. He has 10 open criminal cases including abuse and rape of a child (DNA tied him to the forced rape of a 15 year old girl), and firearms charges.
