So we're done in court. GateHouse attorney couldn't say much outside court & Judge Harsh didn't make a decision. #AaronHernandez

 "Judge Harsh"... probably auto correct but still true ;)

GEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEE where are you girl?????

not that we know much more than we did.......but she needs to be here anyway :D

I forgot! :( I'm boohooing for both of us. ;) Thanks for the tweets TB, is the hearing over? I really want to know why defense thinks a juror knew something they shouldn't have, did they say something in post-verdict interviews with attnys or media? I only watched one of their interviews but nothing any of them said caught my ear.

In new docs, prosecution calls defense motion to overturn guilty verdict on murder count 'completely meritless'
#AaronHernandez

Prosecution: "This was a brutal and senseless crime... (#AaronHernandez) was pitiless, failing to show either mercy or remorse"

A big Thank You to our Tiger Balm for being "in the tweet courtroom" to bring us the goings-on!!

i HATE when the jury talks after a verdict! it justs opens up the door for trouble, those defense attorneys are sitting there, all ears
Agreed. I've never been a juror -- called once, but had a business trip planned & all paid -- but I decided long ago that I would not do an interview, etc., about any jury-room details of a case. But some jurors will talk to the prosecutors, etc., to let them know what items were key for them, etc., and that's prolly a nice thing to do, so maybe that, but I wouldn't speak with the D.T.

Judge Releases Defense Documents Claiming Aaron Hernandez Juror ‘Untruthful’

FALL RIVER (CBS/AP) — A judge has partially unsealed documents relating to a juror that was seated in the murder trial of Ex-New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez.

GateHouse Media, LLC, filed a request to make public documents submitted by Hernandez’s defense team that claim a juror knew details of the case outside of what was presented in the courtroom.

Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh, who oversaw the murder trial that led to Hernandez’s conviction, ruled the juror’s identity remain protected.

Hernandez Lawyers Receive Tip About Possible Jury Conflict

ne of the jurors who voted to convict former NFL tight end Aaron Hernandez of murder this year has been accused of lying in order to get a seat on the jury, setting off a potential legal challenge of the guilty verdict.

(snip)
Sultan wrote in a court filing unsealed Monday by the judge that he received a call from a blocked number the day after the jury returned its verdict, and when he answered the phone, a woman told him that she recognized one of the jurors at a televised press conference held immediately after the sentencing.

According to Sultan, the caller said the juror had been "present and/or participated" in a discussion about the Boston case. She also said she heard the juror made a comment about "hoping to be on the Hernandez jury," Sultan wrote in the filing. Defense attorneys had tried to eliminate from jury selection people who were drawn to the case for the attention it received because of Hernandez's status as a regional sports hero.

(snip)
ultan included his phone records in the filing, which reveal he spent over an hour on the phone with the anonymous tipster over the course of four phone calls. He wrote that when he requested more information, the woman balked at providing it because she did not want to get involved and feared that the juror could face prosecution. Some of the details she provided him are redacted in the filing released to the public.

Sultan wrote that he has not heard from the woman since April 24.

"Verizon, my cellphone provider, has indicated it is likely to be able to ascertain the originating phone numbers for these 'blocked' calls, but will not do so without a subpoena or court order," he said. "Accordingly, I believe that the Court's assistance is required at this point to investigate these serious allegations."

I predicted it would be about the double murder trial. But it angers me that the jury is not allowed to know about it. Why not? He is a killer. Why should that be protected info?

Ralph Tavares, retiring today, said morning cry for the last time. He was present throughout #AaronHernandez trial.

For veteran R&B group Tavares, the key to scoring its biggest hits in the ’70s proved as simple as changing its name.
