I wish they would give us an approximate length of time this baby girl was deceased. If they looked and ruled out 2 missing children from 2011, perhaps Baby Doe isn't a recent "missing" child.

Three-year-old Lunsford disappeared from her West Virginia home in 2011, the same year 20-month-old Ayla Reynolds vanished from her bedroom in Maine, according to the Globe . Family members of both children were contacted, and State Police spokesman David Procopio confirmed to the Globe that neither of the two girls matched the profile of the approximately 4-year-old found on Deer Island.

I read that Winthrop is very close to the airport. If that's the case, whoever did this may have taken a flight out of State or Country. Just an observation.

How old would Lisa Irwin be now?

Wonder if it's a child that has been abducted a while ago and so the people she was with at the time of her death couldn't report it as it would throw up an investigation? Just a thought.

I have had Aliayah Lunsford on my mind and in my head since first reading about this precious little one being found. Aliayah went missing in Sept 2011, she was 3 and small for her age

*just realised that she was ruled out*

I'm in the UK, can someone let me know what our equivalent is to Target? Is it just clothes, or more like a department store?

I think the closest I can think of is Woolworths, or something like B & M Stores.

I just saw the comment about the child being in an industrial trash bag. Have they investigated to determine if the trash bag came from any roll of bags from any of the industry located on the island? Trash bags have their own "fingerprints" so to speak, and if that trash bag is from a batch somewhere on that island they could easily rule in or out if that child was placed there by a worker going to or returning from work.

Everything I know about making trash bags, I learned from Melanie McGuire case. Nancy Grace actually discussed this last night.:moo:

Basically, it's the kind of store where you go in to buy shampoo and come out a couple of bags other stuff. :)

Need new undies, a garden hose, a kitchen knife, and school supplies? Go to Target.

It's along the lines of asda or tesco if that helps

I cannot believe no one knows who this baby is. Surely someone knows a friend or neighbor or family member with a similar looking child that they've not seen in a long time. The only other scenario that makes sense would be a very isolated family living out in the boonies with little contact with a population on a regular basis.

Target is the rich man's Walmart. Similar stuff , a little bit of everything but not quite as ' cheap ' as Walmart.

but can you get down to the beach with a stroller? or carrying a carseat?

Can you really not get a vehicle on the peninsula at night? It's truly blocked off completely? If so, the lady that found her did so around 1pm, so it's possible the person that put her there did so early in the morning once the peninsula was accessible. I don't see a woman taking her there by boat nor do I see a woman using a stroller to place her there. In my opinion, she was dropped by car if it was a woman. If it was a man then maybe boat.

Can any locals so pictures of the entrance to the peninsula?

If you look at the map leading to Deer Island you can see the the road on both sides is surrounded by ocean. One could start walking on either side of the road via beach and get to Deer Island. Both sides can be rocky in certain places. High tide was around 9:15 AM on June 15. I really don't like to be speculating about all of this, we need more information.

My guesses are- this toddler belonged to a woman who was either kidnapped or forced into a human trafficking situation, and someone "discarded" her. It would be a good idea to post the poster of her and info in Eastern European neighborhoods in the region. (With a Cyrillic translation of the info.)

Or the poor kid was killed by a parent or parental figures and she/they skipped town after dumping her body. More common a fate for small children than we all want to admit....

I am so disturbed by the fact that we don't know who she is.
I don't believe that this was from a woman that was kidnapped or disappeared because there would be people looking for two people. And that would not escape notice.

Why does no one know who this is?!?!?!?!?!?

not sure if anyone clarified but the road to the island is not gated. you can drive or walk to the recreational area any time. they are "closed at sunset" but it is not locked up. and yes i believe there is night work at the plant.

Do you think though that someone could have gotten onto the island at night? I know there is no public access after sunset, but do treatment workers work night shifts there? It would be a good time to do it if there's no one there, and it would be quite dark with the water all around. Then of course you have the challenge of getting past the security gate at that time....unless this person worked on the island at some point and had knowledge of its security points. I read (I will try and verify because I can't remember where) that there are security cameras at the treatment plant but not on the beach where she was dumped. Possibly the person knew then where the cameras were?

Thanks, I only rode my bike there a few times during the day, could not for the life of me remember a gate. Don't live there anymore so I may have missed it.

walking carrying an extra 30 pounds would be exhausting for very long

this is PURELY an opinion based on my own experience, so bare with me.

i think this girl comes from a single mom who is somewaht flamboyant. most middle aged married women don't use animal print.

not judging. i was a flamboyant single mom for 13 years, i just had boys. lol. a friend of mine was a flamboyant single mom of a girl and she put all kinds of colorful and crazy stuff and lots of animal prints on herself and kid. it just isnt something i notice older or most married women doing.
