there was a dismembered unidentified woman found in calvert vaux park but as far as i can recall she was killed in january and this one isnt thought to have been dead long.

Hi all! I've tried to resist posting on this case because I've had alot going on lately. But this is so terrible for this little one to be thrown away like trash so I thought I would chime in with some initial thoughts.

I saw on the news that Deer Island is also accessible by boat. Also, there is a possibility the Mother of this child is also dead. I suspect she could have been a prostitute and her little girl was present but sleeping during a date with a John. I think this little girl was sleeping with her blanky based on the items of clothing found with her body.

I'm exporing this theory because of the LISK case. A toddler was found fully intact on the beach where the GB4 and the body parts of other dismembered victims were found strewn about. Cause of death couldn't be found and no trama to the body, IIRC. Some dismembered remains of the toddler's mother were found in a different location from the toddler. Neither have been identified. The victims who have been identified were all sex workers.

The lisk likes to dispose near water and beaches and the two locations are fairly close in proximity by boat or vehicle. (I personally think LISK migrates up and down the east coast via boat) It may be something or it may be nothing but I just wanted to mention it. I hope LE interviews local sex workers to see if someone hasn't been seen in a while. There's a good chance the Mother hasn't been reported missing.

I'm looking forward to reading the toxicology report on this sweet child. Rest in Peace Little One.

There could also be the scenario that somebody has recognized baby doe, but aren't sure it's her and want to "mind their own business." When I am out and about I always try to look deeply at peoples faces "just in case" my hubby thinks I'm crazy for doing it, but you never know when or where you might see someone... if the girl is from far away somebody might recognize her but not think it's a possibility because the girl was found so far away from where she was supposed to be. Just throwing stuff out there.

its not her. sometimes they take awhile to update namus. they also ruled out baby kate, but shes not listed.

So Maggie Sophia has not been ruled out? Can anyone do a side by side of the girl holding the sign and the earlier pictures of Maggie? I don't know why I am so stuck on her.

This whole case makes me ill. And for the record, I don't care if her parents are legal, illegal, afraid , or whatever - there is NO EXCUSE for dumping your baby. They could have left her at a church if they really cared. SCUM

There is still the possibility that despite all the publicity, people who would both recognize her and know she's missing haven't seen the photo. Like, Mr. Carbuff hadn't heard about it until last night when I told him.

My mom, amazingly, hadn't heard about her until I mentioned it yesterday (amazing because my mom spends a lot of time on fb). I'm holding on to hope that the key is in the tips they're still sorting through, just waiting to be followed up on.

I wonder how many people may have actually recognized her but dismissed it as "can't possibly be her.." Or have called in a tip but since they weren't terribly specific (looks like a girl I waited on, etc), the tip has been pushed down in priority on the tip list.

The thing is, while kids definitely look distinct when near other kids, she kind of has a generic look to her. She could just as easily be my little one (who's almost an exact replica of me at that age, for what it's worth...) except that my LO is two and a half and currently napping in big sister's bed. Or another little brunette in my LO's preschool class who has the same button nose, chubby cheeks and similar hair. Either of the girls could resemble little doe enough to make you take a second look. My oldest, however, looks a bit like little orphan Annie and definitely stands out. I wish there were something more to identify her by. Someone, somewhere (can't recall if it was on here or FB) suggested a full body rendering to help show her size. I think that would be an interesting, potentially helpful addition to the pictures.

 

[Confusion]

Theaw are the theories I feel are plausible.

1. Parent(s) are responsible and are away from friends and family or estranged from them.

2. Parent(s) are also victims and are away from friends and family or estranged from them.

3. Baby Doe is from another country and someone that knows her hasn't seen the photo yet.

4. Baby Doe was born out of the system, therefore not being registered with vital statistics (mother previously kidnapped, runaway, street worker etc.)

5. Someone doesn't realize this child is missing yet - maybe family went on vacation or suppose to go on vacation, family violence, family/friends being told lies about well being, or just don't realize yet.

Anything else I'm missing?

There are still people who don't use the Internet. If the girl lived in a place where it wasn't common, it's possible that a parent disappeared with her, and no family or friends have seen any information about her being found. I'm not sure how many places there still are where few, or no, people have internet. Possibly some kind of cult? I had considered an Amish family, but I can't see them buying her clothes - especially with polka dots (and her blanket would probably be home made and a plain color.)

There's also the possibility that her non-custodial parent had taken her for the summer, and wasn't expected to keep in touch constantly, and the custodial parent hasn't realized there's a problem yet.

that isnt always true. my kids are half hispanic and they are mooses (meese? lol) the older 2's dad was 6"2 and prob 250 and the baby's dad (my second husband, also Hispanic) is 5"11 and 225 or so. my older two are 6"1 and 6"5 and my baby is projected to be 6"2 accoring to his 2 year appt. 98% height and weight.

i think the indigenous Latins tend to be smaller (Oaxacans) but many Hispanics are big.

I agree that she is latin and therefore you have to take that into acct with the sizes. My kids are part Mexican and are always on the small side. My 3 yr old is 24 lbs and 33 inches and my 5 yr old is 37 lbs and 40 inches. Height especially will be lower in children of latin and hispanic decent.

I think 4 or a small 5 is probably about right.

And if she's local to the Boston area, there's a high likelihood that she's from a mixed background. I was thinking last night about populations in the area where a brown-eyed brown-haired child with lightish but not really pale complexion could come from. I thought of Native American, Portuguese, Azorean, Spanish, French-Canadian, Greek, Italian, Serbian, Croatian, Armenian, Cypriot, Egyptian, Persian (Iranian), Hispanic (especially Guatemalan--large immigrant community in the suburbs), Brazilian, Jamaican, light-skinned or mixed race black, Chechen, Turkish, and many of the central European countries. Those are just the ones where I'm aware of communities of legal immigrants. I'm sure there are more.

It wouldn't surprise me if she's not identified until fall. There's so much travel and absence in the summer that it's hard to be sure who's missing and who just went on vacation up in the mountains.

Interesting story but I'm thinking it's unlikely to be her baby. She was only halfway through the pregnancy and needed twice daily shots to prevent miscarriage.

i believe the hcg injections are only given during the first 3 months,during the early gestational period.She was 41/2 months along.

Another thing to keep in mind- So many people I know are switching from cable/satellite to streaming services like Netflix, so they no longer have access to the news on television. If I didn't browse WS, I likely wouldn't have heard about this Doe until yesterday when my mom brought it up on the phone. I checked our local news station's website and couldn't find anything about this story either. I'd say the chances of someone not hearing about this Doe are relatively high.

Another long shot....saw this on the FB page.....and I think she looks so close to Baby Doe. This little girl is missing from France. A lot of it is written in French, but I translated with Google Translate to see what the story was etc. I found a missing person page for her too.

Looks like the story on this one is that Dad kidnapped her last August, along with his girlfriends (or new wife's) kids. Mom is from Morocco living in France.

This little cutie was already taller and heavier than our Doe when she went missing last year. I think it's not her.

I don't know, audge86. It's JMO, but it seems to me that it would be little things like the red hair elastic and the pierced ears that they would withhold, not something major like her shirt or shoes that could really assist in identifying her. Of course, I'm not LE, so what do I know LOL They often mystify me.

I'm useless at this. All babies look alike to me and I can't even tell when kids look like their parents. Apparently me and my sister look just a like. I don't see it.

It's unclear how long she had been dead, but there was a modest amount of decomposition when her remains were removed from the trash bag she was found in, according to Conley.

Per CNN/AC right now: Left (placed) on shoreline - not in the water, based on the condition of the body. Toxicology testing results thus far found no evidence of poisoning, such as Drano, bleach, or similar toxins. LE believe she was found not long after she died.

1. The DA office believes that Baby Doe was placed on the shoreline and did not wash ashore

2. Initial toxicology reports indicate that Baby Doe did not ingest Draino, bleach or any other chemical like that - further tests are being done
