Maybe they are as confused as I am from the case presented to them. I still can't believe the CW/judge adding the lesser charges. That's like me saying I can beat you in a 100yd dash and once I'm obviously losing in the last 10 yards saying "oh I meant a 50yd dash". It's really wrong imo.

depends on the case. sometimes.

my coworker was in the jury on the Cary stayner case!!! o_O

Do they sequester the jury in the US? Or is that a Canadian thing?

Great analogy, Dogface!

Jury has less than an hour in their regular day if they leave at the same time as other days.

:gaah:

After so many hours of deliberation - I'm quite surprised they have no questions!

:waiting: another 45 minutes until 4pm....

No questions makes me think there is one person holding out and saying NG while all the others are going for Guilty. That's the only thing I can think of. If it was the other way around I could see asking questions to prove innocence. If that make sense. IMO

I think that last instruction that the judge threw in has screwed up the case. Just like Shapiro said.

They may also be close, but want to think about it over the weekend.

But...4:00 on the dot & they'll be out of there.

The longer this goes better the chance of mistrial...so much for Friday. This is not looking good IMO.

Yep.

Pretty clear to the jury that RB was involved in this somehow. There is evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, as in she knew where the body was dumped and about the duffel bag and weights. Whether or not she killed Bella, there is no clear evidence.

As for MM, the only evidence against him is RB's word and the fact that he lived with RB and Bella. I have to wonder if the Commonwealth would have handled the charges and plea deal differently if MM was RB's husband and/or Bella's father. The DCF story would be much different if MM was the father, because as a parent, he should have been notified.

I assume people not really following the case, just a quick judgement without actual facts.
