On these articles, it talks about Emili's health issues. I never read that before now. She's lactose intolerant and has a heart murmur. Could someone die from that and it not show up at autopsy? It seems to me that something to do with the heart would be detectable. Does anyone know? Emili's mom does not think this is her child. Her and LE pointed out that Emili is smaller than baby doe and that baby doe has way more "volume" over Emili...that Emili could not have got to that volume within three months of her disappearance. LE strongly believes baby doe is 4, where as Emili is younger at 3.

LOL he's not "trying" to annoy you. He's a guy. We fix things. "don't fix it just listen". "Why should I listen if I'm not gonna fix it?" "Arrrgh!" "because you supposedly care about me". Exactly, that's why I wanna fixt it". "AARRGGGHHH". "What?"

Anyway I was blessed with the powerful gift of empathy. It's painful, LOL

with the mom being so adoment that she does not think its emili, maybe that tells us they have no connection to Mass area. It has me second guessing its her now.... She would know more than anyone if she had a chance being her daughter.... SO SAD, its so intimidating...... :(

What a nice message! Thanks for hanging out with us. :) I'm going to see it through.

I will also be seeing this through. No matter what... I want her identity to be known and I want to at a minimum see some kind of closure. She deserves better than being just another "Baby Doe"

Yeah, seems slimmer odds its Emili. Where did SHE go though? Yet another mystery. Maybe the mom is in denial it could be her daughter. Who knows.

I don't understand that part at all. I dont know how they came up with that theory.

I agree. Especially on a western diet. Also just before a growth spurt...

Didn't they do isotope testing? Wouldn't that rule out child from another country? Sounds like this child was raised and traveled in New England.

I think she's local and I think it's going to be a long while before she gets her name back, unfortunately.

There have been people adamant that an unidentified body is their relative, say it is 100% for sure them and it not be. There have also been people say absolutely no way is it their relative, because they don't want it to be, they don't want to believe it. So it could still very well be Emili. The comparisons are very similar.

Isotope testing showed that she has been in the area for awhile. Emili has been missing for over a year now.

I guess we are suppose to assume that after Emili disappeared, she was brought to the US. That has to be the story IF she fits. Therefore, she would have been a local. Some of the ISO tests revealed (per the articles posted further down this thread) that Baby Doe spent time in NE. She had certain floral spores/particles on her that link her to the NE area. Some of her other tests were not that specific. LE said she could have been from NE area or MANY other states. The test to see if she has ever been out of the country--those results have not been shared with us yet. Hope this helps. :)

I
know especially if its been over a year missing and eating this good food. of course shes gonna grow.. etc.. what does throw me off a little is the heart murmur thing, the autopsy wouldve seen that, u can see a murmur... maybe it did and they arent releasing that.

I just started following this case. Damn heartbreaking, I can't stand it when it's children. :( Poor little thing. If it is Emili, and I can see it in her face, it would be an extremely bittersweet ending to two mysteries. Is there by any chance a cause of death yet?

Random thought... I have friends that travel the USA in a RV with their child. (I am in no way suggesting this is their child. I just spoke to her today) but what if our baby doe traveled like that? My friends just spent the last year in a very secluded state park when the husband worked... What if it is the child of another family that RV travels and that's why nobody recognizes her? So many possibilities.

I don't know much about heart murmurs, but I do know I had one when I was 8-9 and it was gone a few years later. I know that can happen.

Here's a pointer to the statement about the isotope t the Massachusetts State Police released to the public: http://www.mspnews.org/2015/09/isotope-analysis-ongoing-in-deer-island-toddler-case/

"Preliminary results suggest that the child may have spent time in any of several New England states, as well as other locations across the US. Scientists have not yet compared the biological evidence with drinking water samples in other countries. As a result, investigators are not drawing any specific conclusions on the analysis until it is complete."

BBM: they haven't ruled out international origin or travel.

That's a good point. As far as we know, anything is plausible right now.

Even if she lived a nomadic lifestyle, very few people live in total isolation. Many of those who do live in an isolated manner do so in one place. The Blackstone, MA case comes to mind. The fact that no one has come forward doesn't make me think they were travelers - it is a possibility, of course, but my mind doesn't automatically go there. I feel like it's hard to narrow down much of anything. I'd think people who recently left the area would be more likely to be remembered and suggested.
