I'm guessing Bella didn't have a regular doctor because surely the folks at the doc's office would have recognized her?

Interesting point! I'm ASSUMING that she was covered by MassHealth(Medicaid) and probably RB was receiving WIC.

Most Medicaid patients are "suggested" to receive services at a FQHC (federally qualified health center) aka "Community Health Center". The nearest one is http://www.massleague.org/findaheal...?hcid=25&lat=42.281649&lng=-71.08149600000001 (Directions to Codman Square Health Center). IF this agency practices in the same manner as my FQHC (yeah, I volunteer & work with the living patients also! :) ), then BB would/could have been seen by multiple providers (MDs. NPs, & "floaters").

BUT......RB could have "shopped" at 26 other FQHC sites, all within 5 (FIVE) miles of Maxwell Street!

Well I guess somebody could make a call from a phone booth. If they cared enough. I suspect these types of folks just adopt an attitude of dont mess me with me and I wont mess with you. Sigh.......

LOL well, first you would have to find a phone booth! and there are cameras EVERYWHERE..I totally agree with you and "dropping a dime" would seem the least we could do no matter what the issue if someone is at risk.. a child, an elderly person, a mistreated dog, etc. I do wonder, in GENERAL, how often people get involved with these kinds of things? Do they fear a rock or bullet coming through their window in retaliation? I just don't know? Do we all give others the benefit of the doubt? Do we wait for someone else to do it? This is not the world of the 50s and 60s I was raised in. JMO Lots of people believe "don't trouble trouble and trouble wont trouble you".

Someone asked earlier about a mug shot for the alleged murderer.. do they "bookem" in the hospital? Lots of times the patient is viewed as a patient and while there are guards assigned for the safety of the staff and to ensure the perp doesnt get away, I am not confidant that any kind of legal machinations other than an arrest and reading Miranda rights will be done at a hospital. MOO

Have we gotten any assurance that MM will even be at the arraignment? Do we know for sure it will be televised? TIA for any insight.

Everything i write is just my opinion.

I'm not understanding why folks feared making a complaint on behalf of Bella??? DCF does not disclose the person's name. Perhaps just a mindset of mistrust in general???

It is anonymous, but people guess who did it. If a person called it in, s/he probably imagined there would be trouble for someone. With all those guys coming and going. i can just imagine what the neighbors saw. Remember the grave digger?

The bio dad IS a legal next of kin...... HOWEVER as of now, the bio mother is recognized as the primary care-taker (NO COMMENT!) and has a right to determine the disposal of her body. IIRC, Mass legal system WILL permit the bio dad to petition for standing as the legal, responsible party, 'esp if RB is held without bond!

For those who followed the Caylee Anthony heartbreak, this time there IS a known, admitted bio dad so........

Bio dad might have to prove he is the bio dad first. Bella didn't have the same last name as the supposed bio dad. Is he even on the birth certificate?

LOL it did hit me as well when i typed it. When was the last time I saw a phone booth HA!!!! Pay phones at our local Macs milk stores, malls etc. phone booths? I'll have to think on that. Good point on MM would he be well enough to appear tomorrow in any capacity??? I hope so.

Your child is entitled by law-PL 94-142 to receive free services. The child will be tested and a free plan will be made. The window for great gains is short so I really recommend getting in touch with your school district or doctor. There will be tremendous gains

Off topic but I wanted to respond anyway - My son receives therapy at home every other week through Early Intervention (free.) We've been on top of his issues for a long time. He didn't initially qualify so we waited a couple months and had them come back out. He finally qualified. Though he may have apraxia (and it is still unknown if he will be considered "on the spectrum" for autism) and in that case we will need even more help.

Also, has anyone with a classmates account tried looking up MM? I really want to know more about him.

It is driving me crazy that we don't know more about this guy. I am horrible at sleuthing so I am hoping others can dig stuff up on him.

BBM:

Well, his name is attached to hers: BELLA NEVAEH AMOROSO BOND but we haven't seen proof positive yet!

RB (IMO) looks like she's got Fetal alcohol syndrome.

Where do you see that in her face? Very curious.

I think it is true anywhere with any neighborhood. People who do bad things are capable of doing bad things to you. There have been scum bags in my middle to upper class neighborhood. They are everywhere. Scary people

But regardless.. someone would have "seen" something no matter where she took the baby for care..if there was something to 'see". And even if she went from one community center to another, if it is state funded, electronic medical records would be available and viewable by each entity within the system..wouldnt you thinK? That is how it works here.. JMO She may not have taken the baby for much of anything.. we don't know. No one will be more surprised than I if records are found and the baby is up to date on vaccinations, well visits and the like. JMO However, IDK, are there certain requirements to keep receiving WIC? Maybe the baby has been receiving well baby evaluations?MOO

Just my opinion on everything I write.

What do you think will happn at the hearing? I think not much.

But there is the press conference, right?

Not sure. But the other day, they made it sound like more details about her death would be given on Monday. So we'll see, I guess.

I'm guessing Bella didn't have a regular doctor because surely the folks at the doc's office would have recognized her?

Not necessarily. I think they see so many kids...it would be hard to remember all of their faces.

There is a resemblance between Bella and the computer generated sketch, but the sketch is off on eyes, brows, etc.
The information released was also off -Bella was 2.5 years old, not 4.
That could have contributed to no one recognizing that it was Bella (or even if thought the sketch resembled Bella, they didn't want to get involved).

Well, look what happened to the person who called in the tip. And Ted Kaczynski's brother. Sometimes these things leak, sadly.

I wonder if R was clean when she gave birth to Bella. I mean would an intervention not have happened then? If she was a heavy addict during pregnancy would Bella not have been born and subject to withdrawls? Seems so many missed opportunities. Maybe that is one truth R told her former Lawyer. That she was in a methadone program????

Why don't people report? Well many did and that's who so many were ruled out. But in Bella's case there were people who knew her and saw her every day and didn't want to!

"I didn't see her since summer," one neighbor, who didn't want to be identified, said. "I wanted to ask the mother where he daughter was, but I said, 'It's not my business to ask her.'"

http://www.wcvb.com/news/neighbors-left-heartbroken-after-learning-of-bellas-death/35362910

Or this;
"At least she was honest enough to say so. Many people who live in multiunit buildings like the one on Maxwell Street are afraid to get involved in others’ troubles, afraid that a punch in the face, a brick through a window, some slashed tires, or worse, are the reward for blowing a whistle. The disreputable men who flitted into Rachelle Bond’s apartment scared her neighbors. Her bizarre behavior made them uncomfortable. That doesn’t excuse their attitude, but it puts it in some context."

"Amoroso also said Rachelle told him last week that Bella was killed some two months before her tiny body was found on the shore of Deer Island. Rachelle, he said, told him how she and McCarthy stuffed Bella’s body into a trash bag and dumped it into the harbor off South Boston’s city point. Amoroso said he and Bond talked about going to the FBI, but never did. Bond, he said, texted someone else about Bella’s death and that person notified police"

Two months before? So that would put Bella's death sometime in April? I believe a previous article stated that neighbors report last seeing Bella sometime around March or April too..

I think in order to receive WIC, doctor visits have to be up to date. How about with food stamps?

Hard to believe I used to have to know these things for work. When would her last check up have been?

It is amazing that she was well fed, the apartment looked pretty clean, and she was dressed cute with cute hair, Maybe just for pictures?

Even though I worked with families that were drug users, I never could see it. Just guessed it or other families told me.

The birthday video was an obvious RB impaired, but I wonder if she could hold it together for a doctor visit or a visit with a social worker?

The families I worked with were younger so I did not see the "elderly" druggie such as RB.
