We are not supposed to understand this.. we CAN'T! I was blessed to be born into a normal, loving, traditional family who played by the rules. We were never really exposed to these people who live on the fringes of society. These people really dont know what we know.. they live like barbarians, suck everyone dry, and are cunning, wily and calculating. They will sell their souls and their bodies and even their children for their next fix. Their existence is predicated on a whole set of survival rules that they created and the rules change constantly depending on their drug stash. They are surrounded by other like-minded people.
It is ok to be outraged.. not enough outrage these days.. everyone tries too hard to be PC. Expecting anyone to get involved and advocate for little Bella while she was alive is foolish, imo. These people are too worried about getting busted by the cops, stabbed for their drug stash by a neighbor, or scoring their next hit, to care about anyone or anything. This subculture is not community oriented. Quite frankly, even in traditional society, people dont "get involved". No one wants repercussions. Look around your neighborhood..when was the last time you saw that elderly neighbor? Recently, there was a case in the news about an elderly couple who were both found dead. One had been dead for 3 months or so and the other one lived with the corpse until he, himself died. No one noticed???

I do not believe in the Bella case that the police followed every lead willy nilly.. I just dont.. that assumes anyone called anyway. They had a name and an address and a person saying there was a confession when they went looking.. NO ONE is going to step forward now and say they called.. except the godmother. They still dont want to get involved. JMO The mother wanted her BF and her drugs more than she wanted her baby to be well. She had been to this rodeo before and lost 2 other children. In her world, kids are disposable, needed only for the cash they bring in from the state. Dont try to impose our values on these people and question why they didnt do anything.... you will always come out befuddled and disgusted. If you see something say something.. most wont.. i can guarantee it. JMO

When RB walked into the courtroom yesterday and looked to her right where MM was she gave a look of disgust and looked away real quick. Am I the only one who thinks that that seemed very phoney/planned/staged by RB?
I also felt like her demeanor in court while the preceedings were going on was very strange. It seemed like she was more interested in looking around than listening to anything that was being said. When she wasn't looking around she hung her head and seemed to be fake crying, IMO. The only time she seemed to have interest in what was being said is when they discussed her bail being 1mil. And then she gave the dirty look in the judges direction. I felt her hood was also for show. A person putting on a hood in that situation would be to hide themselves....because of guilt or shame or embarrassment. Although she wore the hood she never seemed to hide her face or seem embarrassed or never looked away from the onlookers in the court even when she hung her head it was toward them so they could all get a good look at how "upset" she was. IMO she is a manipulator and huge liar.
MM came across to me as totally confused. He faced toward judge/prosecutor the whole time and for the most part seemed to be trying to listen and follow along with what was being said. He didn't look toward the rest of the court at all. I don't know what to make of him. He showed no emotion, nothing outside of a few head nods in what looked like disagreement. Is he just so doped up from hospital? Is he always like that? I almost was thinking he actually has a disability of some kind?

I don't know, but I think that RB's confession and accusation against MM, along with the fact that Bella's dead are the only evidence they have. The arraignment is to keep them in jail while further evidence is collected and to ensure they turn up for the next hearing before the judge.

When the prosecutor was reading everything out he read out everything in terms of "Rachelle alleges this or that", not in terms of "the state alleges this or that".

That was my point yesterday. What she described is physically impossible if Bella was on a matress on the FLOOR. MM would had to have been on the FLOOR beside or kneeling over Bella to have his hands on or over her abdomen. Not STANDING over her.

Again, I hope the prosecutor disects RB's statement word for word. She proved her own lies with that one sentence. I think, at this point, that RB killed her and MM probably placed her in the fridge until they could figure out what to do with her.

And you're right. The blankets are a maternal instinct. Bella's poor little body was probably too stiff to get a shirt on her for 'burial at sea.'

I agree 100%.
RB is attempting to play the victim. The look she gave MM as you mention, was so that everyone could see that she is really 'mad' at him... Like you say, she showed absolutely no physical uncontrollable emotion: no tears, no red face, no sobs, no trembling. The emotions she showeed were all ones that one can create, dirty looks, head down, etc.

IMO, there is much more to come on this one. I am not saying that I believe MM had no part to play, I just don't think the story played out the way RB has reported it did. How can anyone take her word for it, she is an active drug addict.

I know the behaviours of drug addiction, I know what it is like to be an addict. Never did I get to the bottom where RB is, thank god, but I do know what manipulation looks like, and addict manipulation is so strong, it's all they know....

When one is in active addiction, or even abstinence without recovery, life is all about them. Addicts are riddled with selfishness, to the point that they honestly can not see anything else but how any situation will play out for 'them'

This case weighs so heavy on my heart, so sad, such a tragedy... For Bella's sake, I really hope that the American government, Pharmaceutical companies, Social Services, DCF, all the players - open their freaken eyes and for Bella's sake, so that this is what addiction does to the innocents. We need change now. The heroin epidemic is now killing innocent children, it is time for change.

Why not just charge her with murder as well? Both are responsible IMO.

I have a feeling that's coming down the pike. It is going in front of the grand jury for indictment so we'll see what happens

It's a possibility....she may have had looking good for the ex on her mind.....I definitely wouldn't be shocked if that's what her main focus was during it all because she didn't seem at all interested in anything else going on in that court.

The fact RB had violent offenses on her record and MM didn't says a lot too IMO.

Most of MM's charges were dropped, plus they seem very tame to say the least. I didn't know possessing ammunition or a needle were even against the law in some states.

Court records show that Rachelle Bond had a lengthy criminal record dating back to 1999, and intensifying between 2005 and 2008, when she was charged more than a dozen times with offenses including drug possession, assault, theft, and prostitution.

McCarthy also has a criminal record, though many charges were dismissed. His alleged offenses include possession of ammunition, possession of a hypodermic needle, and motor vehicle offenses.

I still wish we had confirmation from several folks as to the last time Bella was seen/heard. According to someone who resided next door it was longer than what RB is stating in her timeline. Sorry I dont have that link handy.

“Bond stated that she was in the refrigerator for a few days, before she and McCarthy went to a remote section of South Boston waterfront and put the body in the water,” the write-up added.

It seems that a lot of the leaked information is not reliable at this point, given what was presented yesterday at the arraignment.

Most of the public was under the impression that Bella's body was in the early stages of decomposition. LE had reported earlier that they believed the child was alive the weekend prior to her body being discovered on June 25. Other information is contradicting that. The forensic artist who put together the Baby Doe picture had to work of reports because the body was too badly decomposed. The State said yesterday that fingerprints could not be obtained because of skin slippage.

Now this piece above says that the body was in the fridge for a few days, which would mean that her poor body had been tossed about three weeks before being found on the beach.

If I heard things correctly yesterday, it sounded as if the two defense counsel will not be s.haring their discovery information with each other, pitting the defendants against one another. Kind of puts the pressure on each of them

If MM has motor vehicle charges on his records, then he certainly drives ( a lot of people were asking if he drives, since he supposedly has a seizure disorder).

Does not make sense that a person with seizure disorder to the degree of needing/getting a dog would be allowed to drive. I cant remember the exact criteria her in Ont. Canada but I believe one has to be seizure free for a year before getting their License back. Lawyer embellishing? or does this account for his traffic violations.

I find it interesting, that if MM had this service dog for 10 years, and apparently he hung out or stayed with RB for at least a few months, no neighbours have ever said anything about the dog... (unless I have missed it)

I read that neighbours said:
- always pot smell from apartment
- RB asked for wifi password
- Bella crying a lot
- both MM & RB messed up on drugs
- MM life long friend said that RB & MM abused Bella
- RB outside smoking while Bella crying inside


No one ever says they had a dog, a service dog, to boot! (seems like something that would stand out in my mind)

Makes me wonder...
If it is true that MM had this service dog that was by his side for 10 years, and RB reported MM lived with her, why no one saw this dog?
I know MM life long friend corroborated that MM lived there in the early spring, but he never mentioned the dog either.

Wonder if the dog was still there after life long friend moved out?
