They drove to a beach and McCarthy performed a Reiki healing ceremony on his former girlfriend, she said.

Bond stayed in the car with the former girlfriend’s sister; for a full 20 minutes, Bond was away from McCarthy and close to help. But instead of fleeing, she complained good-naturedly about how she had to placate McCarthy with lies when he accused her of stealing his pills. When McCarthy and the former girlfriend got back in the car, Bond seemed fine.

Soon after, the former girlfriend and her sister visited McCarthy and Bond at the Maxwell Street apartment. They talked about drugs, and someone pointed out the thick swarm of track marks on McCarthy’s arms.

Bond told the former girlfriend that her own arm veins were unusable. “The only place I can shoot up is in my neck,” Bond said, the former girlfriend recalled.

What will the evidence show? Easter is the date McCarthy is giving that RB says DCF took Bella. Prosecutors say May.

Bella's favorite animal was a monkey. Taylor and Bond couldn't afford to take Bella to the aquarium so they took her to Hempfest! And now RB has PTSD. What happened to bipolar?

Taking a :chillpill: and a break! I feel as if the wound that was healing has been ripped open again! Words do fail me.

When Taylor first moved in, her alcoholism was so bad that she would keep a bottle of liquor by her side at all times to ward off shaking and seizures. But Bella was always climbing into her lap, reaching for the alcohol, so Taylor quit drinking, she said.

Bond, she said, was on a low dose of Suboxone, a drug that curbs drug cravings and withdrawal symptoms. The two women smoked marijuana constantly, she said, but did no hard drugs. Bond was not working, said Taylor, but she was not hooking either. She had not been arrested while Bella was alive.

cont....

The Maxwell Street apartment was filled with toys — balls, stuffed animals, coloring books, picture books — and Bond and Taylor settled into a routine.

Bella would wake early, and Taylor, careful not to rouse Bond, would pluck the girl from her bed, change her diaper, and dress her in slippers and a pink corduroy bathrobe with a monkey face on the back. Bella would watch “SpongeBob SquarePants”; Taylor would cook her eggs or oatmeal. Bella zoomed around the apartment on a toy car, and she and Taylor would color or read together. When Bond arose, the women would take the girl to the park or go grocery shopping.

Bella was ebullient and curious, and Bond was easily irritated. She yelled at the child often. But Taylor’s devotion to both Bella and Bond proved a stabilizing force, and Taylor said the women mostly stayed inside and played with the girl. They could not afford to visit the aquarium, Taylor said, but once they took Bella to Hempfest, Boston’s annual marijuana rally. They took vitamins, read prayer books, and blessed every meal.

If Taylor was still in RB's life, I think Bella would still be alive. Sad. JMO

Very welcome! I think we are all starved for any new information!

Thank you BUF! Starved is a good way to put it.

I swear I just have a real problem believing any of these people. Everyone makes their story sound like were the only ones who cared for her. I just have a hard time believing them.....they all have some addiction or another.

I know! I can't imagine how any of them are going to come across the on the stand. Ms. or Mrs. Bassil is going to have a hard time portraying Rachelle Bond as an innocent victim after Michael McCarty's trial.

The article says even McCarthy didn't particularly like Rachelle Bond! Join the crowd!

"He (Michael McCarthy) later told a former girlfriend that he did not particularly like Bond, but that she reminded him of a “modern Native American medicine woman” — a sign from his dead mother, he said, who loved Native American culture.

Although the birthday party is a nightmare, Shannon and RB attempted to make what they thought was a birthday party. I imagine that Shannon probably had an atypical childhood . The two of them probably had only a TV and movie idea of a happy birthday time.

I am guessing that Shannon tried because she does give appropriate answers for taking care of a child. Seeing as they were stoned , who knows how time went by for Bella and what really happened in her day.

I would think being stoned would mellow Rachelle and maybe she wouldn't be so angry and scream so at Bella for just doing what toddlers do...

I suspect Bond had to be on more than Klonopin. My brother-in-law took lithium for bipolar diagnosis. Not supposed to drink alcohol, but he did anyway. PTSD seems to be what the Klonopin was prescribed.

“That will never get out of my mind,” said the former girlfriend, weeping as she recalled how casually Bond moved through the space where her daughter died violently and alone. The apartment was clean, the girlfriend recalled. There was no toddler furniture, no baby toys, no robes with monkeys on them.

This was no place for children.

No more Bella monkey. So how did investigators know they were in the right apartment?

Thx!

Definitely was too much to summarize.

Sounds like the drugs took over once she met mm abd Bella was no longer her priority, she was an aggravation in the way. I'm so mad that no one called when they saw lines of disgusting men coming and going all while they heard Bella crying!! How could they not call?

Interesting that there was no toddler furniture etc in the apt when mms ex and the Ex's sister visited over the summer. I wonder if she sold Bella's baby gear and toys or just threw it all away?

I wonder if Shannon Taylor was living there when the pizzas were made or if fewtrell, the godmother was? Just curious. It sounds as though as long as bond was in a shelter wjth help or had another female living with her, Bella has a chance - as the other women would help care for Bella. Bond was incapable of caring for herself. She certainly couldn't care for Bella :(

Why in the world did she find herself attracted to this "dirty man" rambling about demons? Seems like she could've chosen a better roommate after kicking out Shannon. In sure it was for the heroin, but there were lots of other addicts at the clinic she could have chosen. Why a delusional one rambling about demons?

She does look like an evil Pocahontas sort of. I see why mm in his weird head made the association to a Native American medicine woman. I mean, ya know, considering he didn't know the difference from delusions and reality

ITA. Sounds like poor child was surrounded by addicts from the day she was born. CPS shouldn't be betting that an addict such as RB will turn her life around just because she had a child. Poor Bella never had a shot unless CPS removed her from her mother.

Doesn't sound like any of the people stayed long in RB's life. I can't understand why CPS left Bella with RB after taking two older children from her (who are still alive by the way).
