I'm not surprised at all JA has changed his mind.
He was told a story. Why wouldn't he believe it.
The majority on here believes RB did it until we start hearing how effed up MM is and then it's like wait a minute what is going on?? Maybe doe eyed MM is evil without the scaly skin.

I m pretty sure this story was linked a while back but here is what JA said about not calling and what DA Conley said about that;

http://boston.cbslocal.com/2015/09/...anges-mind-blames-mother-for-daughters-death/

"Amoroso claims Bond confessed to him Thursday night, the day before Bond was arrested. He did not contact authorities.
“I didn’t have to. The authorities were all over the investigation. The warrants had already been sent out. They were all over this case,” he said.
Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley says charges won’t be brought against Amoroso.

“We can perhaps say that he’s morally culpable. He certainly should have picked up the phone and done something earlier,” Conley said. “But from a criminal responsibility point of view, there aren’t statutes that would be applicable here

Not sure if I buy that. I wonder if they are waiting for him to talk some more about arriving in August and whether he knew anything then.

Is it possible LE called him in Florida and asked him to go to RB to try and get a confession out of her? I'm only wondering this because the timing of him showing up in Boston to check in Bella "out of the blue" seems planned, ya know. Remember he says he went to the apt twice to inquire of her whereabouts and got darting eyes from RB. THEN when she confesses, he doesn't say he went to LE and now claims he didn't need to--the warrants were already issued etc. Maybe he was wearing a wire during RBs confession?

Someone on the board here knows Rachelle from way back when.

One of my online friends knows BioDad from about ten years back and her words towards him are not kind.

Small world.

RB and MM have now been in custody for just over a week. RB should be through the worst part of detox now. MM is another story- he's got a complicated medical history and those abscesses may have required extensive treatment.

Wonder if they are getting any visitors and more importantly what they might be saying during phone calls and visits, all of which is most likely being carefully recorded. Something tells me not many people will come to visit them, but if anyone does, my gut tells me that Rachelle is going to keep repeating her story.

Unless he is a mandatory reporter.. nurse, doctor teacher etc. what possible crime did JA commit by not reporting RB? Neighbors, friends etc knew TB was abusing the baby and they never reported it and child abuse is a crime. Not morally nice but not a crime to not report a crime. If i am a clerk in a store and i see someone shoplift i am under no duty (except to my employer). I dont have to report it. These are all crimes.. JMO

Anything i write is just my opinion.

In the linked article he himself admits he knew the warrants were issued and she was wanted, yet he chose to aid and abet this wanted fugitive instead by spending the night sleeping by the water "as a family".

One does not have to be a mandated reporter to not help a wanted person avoid arrest. In Massachusetts it could easily be considered Accessory. That's why I doubt DA Conley's statement.

I've been away from the thread. Are there current mug shots of RB and MM showing formal charges? Just curious.

I haven't seen any, which I find odd. Usually someone in here knows where to go to get the latest mugshots. I don't. Anyone care to find their recent mugs?

Not hard to Work around. Also, states are different so idk about yours. In my state, they only try To get cash aid back from the father. I Had Medicaid only and they never even Asked who their father was.

Predators, abusers, and sociopaths know how to manipulate. Maybe he made big promises and convinced RB he was something he wasn't.

I agree with that. Or another cute trick is that the fathers quit jobs and work under the table. My hubby had to deduct money for child support from people that worked for him. Court ordered.

They complained even though they made good money. 25 % of their wage for one child.

My hubby would tell him how lucky they were as only 100% of his money went for his family. He had no compassion for these guys whatsoever. You play, you pay.

Even if the guy cannot pay now, his name is known and any money csn be attached, even money made while in prison.

There is no reason taxpayers should pay for these children , although we do and must when there is no choice. And I am a left winger! We cannot have children paying the price of adult's poor choices. That is why I believe in sterilizing those that will not take care of their children. You can play, but you do not get to ctreate children as if they are puppies in a puppy mill.

I harp and harp on this, but why should these people create children that get to live in hell?

This whole case reminds me too darn much of another baby that was blessed with a pitiful excuse for a mother. I'm hoping this baby gets the justice that baby CA didn't get.

Not in MA. A while back someone here posted a flyer on establishing paternity in MA. The father has to fill out a form at the hospital when the baby is born or later fill out some other gov paperwork.

Another article had some official saying since JA hasn't been established as the biological father yet the body would not be released to him. Maybe that is why they say it will take a couple of weeks for the body to be released.

The govt goes after the father if someone receives services like RB did. There is no choice, The taxpayers are not expected to pay although it ends up we do often.

I think it's possible he was working WITH LE - maybe wearing a wire? Or do I just watch too much Castle? 😏

It's a crime in Louisiana to not report knowledge of abuse.

I'm not caught up at the moment but just Wanted to add an opinion real quick. I've seen over and over again how Rachelle looks evil and mean. How they can't imagine her letting MM control her, and it was more likely she bossed MM around. I feel strongly the same way. I knew Rachelle about 20 yrs ago. We were not close or even friends but just acquaintances. But she was mean! I never felt comfortable around her. Compared to the rest of us, she was very rough. Loud, rude and mean. She just had the attitude that she would kick your butt if she didn't like something about you.
I just can't see her being pushed around by anyone, never mind MM.

Just your speculation- do you think she'd be more likely to believe in MMs cult obsession and go along with him in some sort of ritual killing or do you think she's more likely to snap and smother her daughter?

After reading the history of mm abusing his mother and girlfriend, I'm thinking maybe he did punch and smother Bella to death. But I still just can't understand how and why RB didn't say anything?!! Did she believe him that there were demons in her daughter?!

Now that this has been brought up, if does seem like a very real possibility. It's weird if that was indeed what occurred though, that he was so supportive of her initially, don't you think?
( I watch way too many crime shows also) 😂

Maybe LE coaxed him by saying we think her boyfriend killed your daughter and we need your help in getting proof of that. So amoroso goes into the whole thing not seeming overly angry/suspicious towards Rochelle. If they had told him they thought she participated etc, he may have been more likely to blow his cover by letting his anger towards her show through. It's just now that he's realizing he may not have been told the whole truth by LE nor Rachelle.

I wonder if MM calling Bella a demon has nothing to do with mental illness, but is similiar to an a-hole calling a child a "brat"? Instead of "That little brat won't' go to bed"...It's "That little demon won't go to bed" If someone called a child a brat, no one would be saying maybe they had a mental illness. So yeah I don't think he really thought she was a demon.

NOT saying he should get a lesser charge due to insanity. Not even saying he's insane. I think he knows right from wrong.

But it sounds like he though demons were in a lot of things- not just Bella. He told someone a sorcerer pulled out black beads from his dog or something weird like that.

I have a hard time seeing her as a follower. However, drugs change people. I didn't know her well enough to say much, other than the fact that I would not be surprised to hear that it was all her show. At age 19-20 she was not a nice person....I can only imagine what years of drugs and hard living would turn her into.

I keep getting confused.
I last thought that RB told JA the day/night they stayed at the beach. The day before they were at JA mothers house and questioned.
Or are we back on the he knew for a week theory?
