And next we will hear that she had began teaching Sunday school. This case is going to give me repetitive muscle strain due to the fact I'm constantly rolling my eyes. Giving someone effect CPR is a very physical task, and, if you don't really know what you are doing, it can be practically ineffective. Why not call 911?!? Oh that's right, she couldn't, because then her mother of the year facade would have been tarnished. She was culpable. If truly innocent, I can not fathom any mother not running from the home and screaming for someone to 911 if it came to it.

Bingo. Why didn't RB call 911??

<modsnip>

It's a sad situation every way you look at this.

As I think about the three main players (RB, MM, JA), MM seems to be the smartest one in the group.

Yep. That's sad.

I don't see RB as unintelligent, but instead empty and completely unprepared or unable to handle adult responsibilities except through in-the-moment quick fixes that got her through the day. JA seems a little slow or immature. MM seems smart but with really messed up beliefs and a debilitating drug addiction.

Between the three of them, was there anyone who held down steady work? (Not counting prostitution.)

Bella, I'm so sorry this was your lot in life. I don't normally believe things like this, but I have to believe your spirit left long before your body did. I like believing that your soul escaped the neglect and abuse and remained intact until you could join it again. I've never had a thought like that before.

And through it all, Bella still loved her mommy...

My worst fear is that the child was not deceased when they put her in the refrigerator.

I, too, hope Bella's soul was able to fly high away from those who stole her last breath from her.

Because she could do CPR for "30min" but somehow her fingers didn't work to be able to dial a phone?

Plus I would expect CPR to crack a bone on a kid that small.

What about RB sitting on her, or MM? If it wasn't done in a rough way...? Maybe they restrained her by wrapping her in a blanket and then sat on her.

No obvious evidence of trauma... She appeared to have been well cared for.

They begged and pleaded for the caretaker of the child to come forward for months.

CPR really doesnt work. i have been a nurse for 38 years.. CPR has changed maybe 9-12 times during those years. I am so old i remember when we gave the precordial thump on the chest to start CPR. Statistics say CPR works only 8% of the time when done outside of a hospital setting...even when personnel has proper CPR training. It was always obvious to me that they kept changing the way CPR was delivered because it doesnt work.. and the stats bear that out.

American Heart Association

Sep 3, 2014 - Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple a victim's chance of survival, but only 32 percent of cardiac arrest victims get CPR from a bystander. Sadly, less than eight percent of people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital survive.

In all of the photos we saw, Bella did seem to be dressed well, looked like she got nutrition, smiling. Please remember though, these were photos that were posted on Facebook, so of course only good ones. Who knows what her daily life was really about. I hope for her that she did have good days and felt love somehow. Given the circumstances of the way she was found & identified, sad to say, I think those days were few and far between.

Remember, RB wanted to give the appearance that Bella was well cared for...two other children were taken away.

I am wondering if she wasn't put in the frig for awhile to keep her quiet and they forgot,

I cannot remember what poster had that idea. It does make sense. She is too loud in the closet.

Crazy thing is if RB hadn't accused MM of murder the charges could have been fairly minor (improper disposal of a corpse), especially if she had gotten an attorney before "confessing".

If RB was hooking who took care of Bella? Did she bring customers home? Did she take Bella with her or leave her in vehicles?

Is it possible Bella died somewhere OTHER than the apartment?

Could the closet have been a babysitter?

Yucky thought, I know.

:(

Could RB have used duct tape or something similar to quiet Bella down in the closet? I could see that causing an accidental fatality, especially if the closet wasn't muffling the noise. Baby crying, can't breathe well, maybe even throwing up with her mouth taped/gagged.

If RB was leaving her alone she may have been desperate to keep her quiet. If MM really was gone maybe he watched Bella while RB turned tricks, and without him there she had to get money/drugs and that meant leaving Bella at home.

Yes, I think the closet was a babysitter. I think Bella's closet probably abutted the neighbors' bedroom wall or their child's bedroomwall. Bella was beginning to resist strongly against being put in the closet and maybe was starting to kick the walls in the closet and screaming to the top of her lungs.

I read somewhere that RB's sister had taken RB's oldest child (girl) shopping and the girl had thrown herself onto the floor in the store and wouldn't stop screaming and crying. It has to be very frustrating for the child not to receive the attention they so crave and need from their mother.

I wonder where the cadaver dog hit in the apartment. I don't suppose we will find anything about the search even on October the 20th? I got the impression that Bella's toys and clothing were still scattered around the apartment.

Why didn't Bella's godmother go to Rachelle and demand to see Bella in July? She helped get the home for Rachelle and Bella. Maybe I should take another Cymbalta...

Murder suspect’s lawyer: Bella Bond’s mother could flip on beau

Defense attorney Brad Bailey, a former state and federal prosecutor, believes prosecutors are holding the accessory charge over Rachelle Bond’s head until they determine if she would make a strong witness.

“The prosecution charged her for a reason,” said Bailey, who is not involved in the case. “And that reason was to try and attempt to not only impose accountability but also continue to try and control her. At this point, they recognize she’s the principal witness in the case. My guess is their goal and their aim is to keep her that way and find whatever corroboration they can to support what right now is just her word against his.”

....

But one veteran litigator thinks prosecutors need to hold Rachelle Bond accountable, too, even though she helped deliver the goods on her boyfriend.

“I think justice and the likelihood of success will be better served if they prosecute them both, independently, without making any compromise,” said Tim Burke, a defense attorney not involved in this case who has handled homicide cases. “This case calls for the highest level of deterrence in sentencing available.”

Neighbors said there were men constantly coming and going to her apartment

But what did she do with Bella while she was working the corner? Maybe she was a Craigslist prostitute?

Editing to say I just read the posts about the closet :(

Do people really leave their children at home locked in closets 😢😢😢
