I'm still thinking someone could have come into the apartment during those 3 to 4 weeks and say "I just went into Rachelle Bond's apartment today and it smells like a dead body has been in there.

Snipped by me

I'm sorry but that really made me laugh out loud.

I feel RB is the one involved in the death. Whether or not MM truly believed the CPS story, I dunno.

My only issue is.. If you charge someone with murder, do you have to have SOMETHING besides someone's word to back that up?? The police have to have SOMETHING to charge him with murder.. That's what I don't understand. Yeah we do not know all of the evidence.. But they've gotta be going on more than what RB has said. After all she is not an outstanding citizen.

YOU ARE PROBABLY RIGHT HOWEVER, WHY WOULDNT THE MOTHER JUST SAY THAT? Is it because the mother sat on her and not MM? i mean why say he was punching her in the stomach? MOO

Anything I write is just my opinion.

BBM:

"Burking" is NOT just "sitting on" somebody, it is a term that means restraint by physical means & inhibited breathing thus causing death by the increased CO2 in the organs, changing the blood Ph & electrical messaging within the body.:scared: Fancy words for screwing up the delicate eco-system of the body!:drumroll:

Yes, a dead body and a witness even if true or false. That's what a trial is for. In the meantime I'm sure LE investigators are working on this day and night for more evidence.

Joypath did you see all of the posts yesterday regarding heroin/asphyxiation/nausea and how it often doesn't show up during a forensic tox screen?

Any thoughts, is it a viable theory?

HI! STILL trying to catch up......will post soon but tox screens pick up heroin metabolites rather than the heroin itself (heroin has a very short half life!)

Right. This is where I am with this mess.

I cannot imagine that LE just took cracky von smackstitute's word that MM did it all and she was pure as the driven crank.

So LE must know something we don't..OR they are providing the rope needed for self-hanging......

I question whether RB and MM were boyfriend/girlfriend. I think they were just junkie friends who crashed together at the apartment and probably had sex when convenient. I don't think they were really a romantic item.

Were they?

Somewhere in some article MM says they were just friends or maybe he said acquaintances. Seems he didn't consider her his girlfriend.

didnt LE say as soon as they walked in they pinpointed evidence? some say it was the throw carpet but maybe it was an odor?

Would there still be a smell months later?

That statement was made on September 18th and I just bet things have changed since then. I am just stunned that JA's word is being taken that he is Bella's biological father. He never met her and she didn't know him. There needs to be proof that JA is her biological father, IMO.

When we get to this stage in a case all we really can do is speculate what the COD is as well as who actually killed Baby Bella. We get restless because we want to know now. Sometimes we may think no progress is being made only to find out that LE has been extremely busy on the case all the while. LE is not stupid, IMO, and you can bet that everyone (and I mean everyone) is still being investigated. Who knew what and when did they know it? I believe there will be at least one more arrest.

Joypath, what would be the reason for LE continuing to hold Baby Bella's body? They have done the toxicology, they have tissue samples, and they have completed the autopsy. Even if they are awaiting the official toxicology reports, why withhold her body from burial? What other testing could they possibly do?

I think there must be another reason to delay. Maybe the powers that be feel as I do concerning proof that JA is the biological father. I would want proof before turning Bella's little body over to a virtual stranger. She should not be interred in a family plot if it is not known for a fact that it is indeed her family. A dignified and decent burial is the last thing we can do for a loved one. We want that loved one to rest in peace. If there is even the smallest doubt of paternity, then do not let her be placed in the wrong plot. Be certain. This worries me so very much.

We've no idea what LE knows or what they are doing now, IMO. All we can do is wait. Sometimes what really happened is very different than what we thought. I am waiting for the other shoe to fall.

MOO

BBM:

Actually LE doesn't have the body, the OCME does. WHY she hasn't been released.............great question but hypothetically could be to expand previously run testing, run esoteric tests, or the defense teams want to interact with OCME staff & perform their own post(s).

Like you, I'd want scientific proof that JA is the biological dad!

IF the stain was purge fluid..........................Y E S!

IF there was ANY tissue or body fluid from the dead body...........................Y E S!

And......would the drug users notice the odors.........................possibly NO!

Trust me, they have the DNA to prove he is the father. No way, no how are they releasing her body to ANYONE without proof. Don't forget she's "their girl" and they're still not going to let anything happen to her.

Fortunately MANY drug metabolites remain in the hair......and hair grows at a "semi-regulated" rate, so one can extrapolate when the drugs were ingested or experienced.

I can see RB "feeding" BB etoh &/or OTC medications to keep her quiet.....some volatile substances (gasoline, ether, chloro) would NOT be detected, neither would alcohol (etoh).

I agree...you know how you go to some homes and the pet odors are overwhelming, but the residents are nose-blind and don't notice? Could be the same thing.

I just don't believe RB's story. Easter keeps coming up. Easter was April 5th. Easter is a hot date for them, a red flag. What significance does it have?

How long would that bag have taken to travel over to Deer Island from where RB says she dumped it?

I've got lots of thoughts and questions tonight and am having a hard time bringing them together.

trust me.........,I'd take a thousand pet homes OVER the aroma of death........seeps into every pore, hangs onto hair & clothing too! & ps.skip the TV trick of Vicks under the nose unless you have a etoh swab under your nose IMMEDIATELY after leaving the scene!

I was going to say... do we know that they haven't verified paternity?
For all we know they have verified that.

Allegedly there was a quote from him saying that he would not do a paternity test. I cannot find it.
If a paternity test has not been done then we are in worse shape than I thought. I can't fathom otherwise.

My friends inherited a home from an elderly relative. Unfortunately their great Aunt had died in the home last summer and was not discovered for a couple of weeks. They pretty much had to tear out the entire inside of the home to get rid of the horrible aroma. New flooring, new EVERYTHING because the smell had seeped into every nook and cranny. They spent more than they actually inherited.

--reporter: amoroso scoffed at the idea that he is not the father, but would not go on camera to defend himself.
