me either... I'm beginning to doubt a car or vehicle existed for MM. They walked wherever they went I guess. Or, bummed rides?? Hard to imagine them walking to wherever Bella's body was dumped though.

I hope it doesn't come out they got a ride and a third person knew about Bella all this time.

my guess is some unsuspecting "client" of Rb gave her a ride and unknowingly helped her dump the body.

Not only that, they knew by that time that Baby Doe was Bella and she was no longer in the water. So the "family time" angle was BS from the get go. She played the sex card and he fell for it . Again.
She even got him to take her home to Mom whom she had alienated before and who had (supposedly) called DCF.
As another poster said she couldn't goochy-goo another woman, so she put JA between her and his mom.

Just another example of how she manipulates men and alienates women.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the news story that said there were children's clothes over the floor...it could be a journalist inserting words for descriptive purposes. They might have been told "children's things on the floor" and changed that into clothes? We know there was a zebra-print rug on the floor, and RB had two baby-sized chairs, which might have been moved to the floor of the bedroom.

The CODIS Dna search, at the time they said they'd done MTdna, not generalized dna? That wouldn't pick up JA even if he had committed a felony to get into a database.

I think he was moving back to MA for his own reasons, and he hoped to reconnect with Bella while he was there. I think his pushing on RB probably helped to get RB to break (whether she told the truth or a made-up story I don't know).

Part of that breaking process might have involved her going into Bella's room and having a fit and throwing Bella's stuff around, but I doubt it.

I'm fairly sure I remember a news article saying that MM had been pulled over for a driving reason in August, so he must have had access to a car at that point.

The news stories haven't been fully clear on the hospital thing...whether it was MS who drove them there, or whether he went with them, or whether he met up with RB later (the one I remember, I thought said that MS took them, but I don't have that much faith in the specifics like that when they come from media).

Something a bit weird in the timings...RB told MS that she was clean, and that was on the day when MM went into hospital (supposedly), yet she told JA that MM was keeping her dosed up on heroin to keep her compliant and the only reason she could now spill the beans was that MM was in hospital. So how long could she have been clean for....8 hours without shooting up doesn't make someone clean. She wasn't in the same state as MM at the arraignment hearing, though, which makes me think she had gone longer without drugs than MM had at that time?

I also think that the police were looking for RB after the tip-off and that they would have asked around for where she might be. They would have asked MS, they would have asked RB's neighbors if they had seen RB leave the apartment with anyone, and if JA's name came up then the police would be able to work out for themselves to visit JA's mother's house. I think JA took her back there just because it was the place where he was staying and she knew she couldn't go back to her apartment. I don't think taking her back to his mother's house had anything to do with his mother.

As for wiring JA, I think it would have been far simpler to get a police officer to knock on RB's door claiming to be from DCF and do covert inquiries that way.

I think JA must have had marital issues and was moving back to MA. He had no place to stay so hooking up with RB and her nice Sec 8 housing seemed like a great plan until he could hustle something else.

He ran away from the prostitute addict but there he was-- hooking up with her.

I think part of it may be poor reporting due to mostly questionable people surrounding the life and death of Bella and reporters that are hungry for any information to report. Many who are talking may have some other agenda, whether it be to save their own hides or to just justify in their own minds that they didn't do anything to stop the death of this little girl...something they will have to live with forever.

Then you have the mother of this little girl that has done nothing but to save her own self IMO. I have watched that arraignment video many times...the prosecutor always starts out with "Miss Bond reports that...", so it was based on what RB told LE, and the dead body of a little girl that was found. They had to charge them both before they would maybe disappear or OD shown by the no bail/bail set forth. There was a lot of media attention and people wanted answers after the months since Bella was found.

No doubt this is going to be quite a "challenge" for both the prosecution and defense. You have drug addled defendants that that will lie to save themselves and many possible witnesses with the same addictions. I feel for the prosecution just even trying to depose these people! Then there is the whole DCF thing where they no longer monitored RB, then her third child is found dead while her other two were taken from her.

Although no doubt a challenging case, we don't have any new facts that have been developed during the investigation. Really all that we do have is what was released from the arraignment which is what RB reported and a dead child. IMO that's when the real investigation started. I, like many am eager to hear what they have since RB & MM were arrested.

I think that is exactly how it went down. MS had already gone in to report Bella being Baby Doe and his sister had texted or called the tip in about Bella.

They later found McCarthy at a Boston hospital, where he was having minor surgery, and Bond at Bella’s grandparents’ house in Lynn."

The article goes on to say Bond had confessed to Amoroso Thursday night but HE didn't contact authorities. Said he didn't have to. The warrants were already out and LE was all over the case. I don't know if the neighbors would have known she would be in Lynn. She could have told Sprinsky? and he or his sister alerted LE that she was in Lynn.


Well, no, wait... There's another version:

Quinn said Bond showed up at her house last Thursday night with her son, Joe Amoroso, and said they had something to tell her.

"She was crying and she said you are going to hate me… you will hate me," said Quinn.

The next morning when news broke that police had identified Bella as Baby Doe, she Amoroso and Bond were all watching the news together. Shortly after, investigators came and arrested Bond.

"She was just arrested and didn't have a chance to say a word," she said.

JA's mom was already on the outs with RB and had (allegedly) called child services twice, so he had no reason to be loyal to RB. All of their "family time" could have been LE's doing. I mean, why else did he never find any reason to appear in their life until after July 22nd?

I know this entire hypothetical can be torn to pieces, so don't waste any effort in doing so to prove me wrong; I'm quite sure it's all wishful thinking on my part ...

JA was supporting RB publicly for several days. If he had set her up I don't think he would have defended her to the press after her arrest, and then later decided she was lying.

Also JA and RB had spent their "family time" all night at the beach, right? Was RB avoiding her apartment for fear she would be arrested? Do we know what RB and JA were doing after RB confessed to JA but before she was arrested?

According to Conley, Bella’s exact cause of death is still a mystery, but suffocation and asphyxiation is being looked at as a possible cause.

Other people could be charged in connection to Bella’s death, but Conley said that it is not a definite at this time.

I think Bella's little body is telling a different story than being punched in the stomach which inconsistent with Rachelle Bond's story.


DA: Baby Bella’s mom could face additional charges

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said his office isn’t ruling out additional charges against the mother of baby Bella Bond, whose cause of death still remains a mystery to investigators.

But Conley said the door is still open to more charges against Bond, who authorities say admitted to a friend that McCarthy killed her daughter and that she was an “accessory after the fact.”

“We don’t foreclose that possibility,” Conley said.

He also said that as the investigation continues, others could be charged if necessary, but he gave no indication that was likely.

The state medical examiner’s office has yet to rule on a cause of death for baby Bella, a fact that Conley said remains “perplexing.”

Conley said authorities still don’t have a timeline for a cause of death from the medical examiner, but the office has previously said that natural causes and disease were not being considered and suffocation or asphyxiation had not been ruled out.

“I know they’re working on it hard, hoping for the best to come up with answer as soon as possible for the family and for all of us who would like to know the reason why Bella passed,” he said.

Yeah I was wondered about them charging MM with murder and her only with accessory.

Since he would be tried first, what happens if he is found not guilty? They can't charge her as an accessory after that, and it would probably be much harder to charge her with murder after they first claimed it was all MM's doing.

Seems charging them both with murder is the safest route.
