Did grandma contact LE and tell them RB was at her house? When Bella was identified it was all over the news and RB was at her house.

During the the live court hearing a few weeks ago, it was stated by the Assistant DA that both their cell phones "pinged" at the Lynn, MA address where they were later taken into custody for questioning.

That tells me that the police pinged their phones to get an address and that's how they found them.

Amonet, we are on the same page. As I was rereading the article with their pictures I thought boy, who looks like they were forcefully drugged? MM does, not RB. Or maybe RB helped him shoot up in the neck but gave him more to keep him allusive.

How many days was he in the hospital?
I'm sure someone had to convince him to go? Right? What druggie goes willingly to the hospital?
Did she calculate this and plan this out and if so how deep does her scheming go?

Ms. Thibodeau said that about 10 years ago, DCF took custody of Ms. Bond’s second oldest daughter when she was brought to the emergency room at HealthAlliance Hospital in Leominster — doctors found the girl had a pieces of a scouring pad in her feet, which Ms. Thibodeau said addicts often use in their pipes to smoke crack cocaine.

I think JA must have had marital issues and was moving back to MA. He had no place to stay so hooking up with RB and her nice Sec 8 housing seemed like a great plan until he could hustle something else.

He ran away from the prostitute addict but there he was-- hooking up with her.

He knocked on her door twice looking for Bella. She told him she was at Cape Cod. His mom says one night he went running out and said it was about Bella.
He met RB, they went to the water and the next morning she told him her story.

I'm also thinking that MM was in serious need of medical attention for his absessed heroin arms. Something she caused?
MS takes, no, rather forces him to the hospital.

RB knows that as he comes out of his drug slumber he might accidentally mention Bella and since the whole Boston area is on high alert for a little girl, RB goes in to recon mode.

This was touched on several pages ago, but it keeps nagging at me: July 22, they had a DNA profile of Baby Doe. LE was going nuts trying to find out who this baby was - would they have run her DNA against known felons and contacted JA? If so, could he have been wired during their recent time(s) together? JA's mom was already on the outs with RB and had (allegedly) called child services twice, so he had no reason to be loyal to RB. All of their "family time" could have been LE's doing. I mean, why else did he never find any reason to appear in their life until after July 22nd?

I know this entire hypothetical can be torn to pieces, so don't waste any effort in doing so to prove me wrong; I'm quite sure it's all wishful thinking on my part ...

This is what I've been thinking ever since ja was asked why he didn't call LE. He said that le was already "all over this case"- those were his words. He said, the warrants were already issued. Once he said that, I was convinced that LE called him in Florida and said "we need your help"

He had to play nice with Rachelle in order to get her to talk.

I also noticed that he hasn't spoken to media since he made those statements. I'm thinking LE told him he needed to zip it.

I'd like to hear more about JA from people who knew him.
Had he cleaned up his act? If so for how long? Did he talk about Bella? Is she the reason he was going back?
I'm still trying to get a feel for who he was not when Bella was conceived but consistent in the months up to her death.

I don't think there was a chance in heck he would have hooked up with her.

The water in the bay, that would have been pretty cool at that time of year? Is it possible that acted as a refrigerator for the body to reduce decomposition until the body actually washed up on the shore?

Could that explain the disparity between the dates being alleged for death and the initial comments from LE that there was little decomposition and they didn't think the body had been there very long?

--he had a # of felony charges in florida, pleading "nolo contendre" , or guilty, as he did, there wouldn't be DNA taken/filed then?

--they were arrested september 18th.

--he didn't come up w/ that until much later---when by that time we all knew that LE "had been all over it, and warrants had been issued"--- (article: september 25th) when he said he hadn't called LE b/c they "were all over it", etc. that was also when he had changed his mind, and was now blaming rochelle. ( i believe at that time, he also realized that public perception wasn't exactly on "team JA".....and he needed to come up w/ a better reason for not alerting LE that a child had been murdered.)

I hope the case is changing to include murder charges against Rachelle Bond. She lies. She's a prostitute. She's an addict. She's lost custody of her 2 other children. Why should they take her word as gospel? I hope we hear more about the case against the couple changing.

Yeah he could but that would be a "hail mary" pass so to speak. If he admits he knew or was in the apartment when she was killed he will end up in prison. No point in admitting anything of the sort unless the prosecution has real evidence to back it up.

Doesn't really matter at this point, MMs trial his attorneys will "turn on her" for him and do everything possible to blame RB, and then she has to get up on the stand and testify/be cross examined.

That is going to be brutal! I wonder if she can hold her temper when they tear into her? Plus all of the colorful players that we have seen so far.

Remember CA's trial? They came up with a story and blamed it all the Grandfather? Just imagine what will happen to RB!

Thanks Sonya! True. All MM has to do is sit back and say nothing. It will be RB's words that are repeated and yes she will be ripped apart. I'm imagining sort of like a pack of attacking hyenas. I don't think she will be able to control her temper unless they sedate her. I suspect she will be escorted out of courtroom maybe. The cast of characters should make for interesting testimony.

I imagine JA is going to be hit pretty hard during MM's trial with the truth about RB. Would it be safe to say in the words of Judge Strickland, "the truth and Miss Bond are strangers" ?

The prosecutors have their job cut out for them! I would guess RBs attorney will also be involved since anything RB says can be used against her later.

It seemed obvious to me she had been coached before the hearing, she kept her eyes down most of the time and only "glared" at the judge a couple of times. I am sure her lawyer told her to do that, keep your head down and act like a cowered/abused/frightened woman etc.... It will be much harder to manage her demeanor when she is on the stand.
