Does anyone know how RBs participation will work during MMs trial?

As a witness will the state hand over all of the trial evidence in ADVANCE to RBs attorney? Doesn't seem right if they did that, other witnesses won't get copies of the evidence in advance or even be allowed to hear the proceedings.

I would think RB will go in "blind" regarding the evidence and that should make things even more interesting.

If they play by the rules, no coaching (other than by her own attorney), not revealing evidence etc... I would expect RB to be a loose cannon in that courtroom.

Technically, your own attorney isnt supposed to coach you in such a way as you change your testimony. They might clean her up.. put her hair in a bun and make her look like a librarian but they are not supposed to bend your testimony. Will they? do they? probably. I really do wonder who is going to believe her. Once they ask her if she was drugged up after the death to make her docile i think her goose is cooked. Docile doesnt mean unable to use a cell phone. The problem is, if they dont believe her IMO, the prosecution's case falls apart. It becomes he said she said.. he pleads not guilty.. she says he did it..MOO

I agree. Plus MMs attorneys will interview all the neighbors and anyone else that may have seen RB out and about in the last few months (without MM).

If MM is the only one charged with murder, I can see the prosecution maybe offering her a plea for testimony. Whether she'd take it or not is another question (I have a feeling she may). IMO she would make a very questionable witness. I just don't think a jury would buy it.

My suspicion is that they will both be charged for murder. I don't believe either would take the stand then. It would be a nightmare, and it is up to the prosecution to prove "beyond a reasonable doubt". The defense doesn't even have to put on a defense if they choose not to because ultimately the burden is on the prosecution.

Maybe the COD will be announced on Oct 20 & we will find out more then on how they might proceed.

I don't think he came back to boston for RB. I think he came and was like hey let me see if I can find my kid.... and that "marriage" in FL prob didn't last this long.

I think JA must have had marital issues and was moving back to MA. He had no place to stay so hooking up with RB and her nice Sec 8 housing seemed like a great plan until he could hustle something else.

He ran away from the prostitute addict but there he was-- hooking up with her.

I think Joe A. came back to Lynn, Boston to live with his mother and his mother said "I want to see my grandchild." I think she pushed him to try to reconnect with Bond so she could see Bella.

it is possible they only ran the DNA in MA, or that FL hadn't entered his into the federal database yet.

--he had a # of felony charges in florida, pleading "nolo contendre" , or guilty, as he did, there wouldn't be DNA taken/filed then?

I see your point, and the DA is under tremendous pressure.

If they have no evidence and could get RB to sign a stiff plea deal (with enough prison time to save the DA's face) I could see that happening. Even without new evidence I think they might have enough to get RB convicted of manslaughter.

--it's possible that he came back for his ex (hoping she'd take him back?) she had moved back to boston june 2015 , after they split.

--between arriving in MA august 26th and having 'family time' w/ RB on september 17th, that gave him 3 weeks to seriously track down his daughter, why didn't he get DCF involved then?

She was committing fraud. She was approved two bedroom for her and Bella. People with prior drug arrests aren't even allowed HUD housing voucher. How she got approved I have no idea. People do slip through the cracks, It's a federal program. She was committing fraud on all levels. I hope they add fraud charges to pay them back like they did octomom but hers was welfare fraud.

I don't see too many reasons to question his paternity, and I'm not entirely sure why it matters in his case. He believes he's the father, and although he might not have been living in the same house or up to the sort of standards as a father that we 'expect' a man to be, he seems to have felt some kind of connection to the child. Whether he donated the sperm or not, he's the closest thing to father she had....none of the men RB was involved with tried to take on the role of a proper dad to her.

Sometimes the genetic connection isn't the main thing, it's whether or not a parent cares and is there for a child.

What does his being the 'dad' mean, now that Bella's dead? I don't mean that just in a rhetorical sense, but what does it mean? Why is it important? Does it mean there's a father crying in the gallery as the evidence is read out? Even that will do something for Bella. The jury will (I presume) need to see people in the gallery who care and are affected by the loss of the dear child. Whether or not that assists in justice, I don't know.
